Breeze, Pixie, Angel . . . you're still part of Our Kids, lol! You're standing on the threshold of adulthood. Poised to take that fateful step over the brink . . . but here's the secret: you can step back and forth over that imaginary boundary between being a kid and being an adult because it doesn't exist as a finite line. There will always be things in your life that let you revert to being kid-ish; there will always be people who you can run to when life gets to be too much who will nurture you and guide you; you will always be someone's child, and those are good things to remember.
Try to never lose your ability to open your eyes wide and look at the world with the hope, curiousity and honest scepticism you have today. Remember your innate belief that you make a difference just by being yourself. Remember to learn something every day. Never forget how to laugh or how to cry.
And, as the child is the measure of the adult, you hold such great promise as you are already such wonderful, loving, and yes - even wise - human beings.
