Spitz breeds.
I guess it makes sense... shelties have spitz roots and papillons are likely spitz/spaniel. Several of my friends are pomeranian owners and they have the spitzy style bigger poms. I love their dogs, they're lots of fun and remind me quite a bit of the paps in a lot of ways only less 'soft' and to be honest, less trainable.
In some ways I want another Nikki type of dog and she was a pretty atypical sheltie. She was a hard tempered dog, sort of affectionate but only when she wanted to be, aloof, snarky, smart, independent, and pretty quirky. She was a very easy dog to train though.
So... tell me a bit about your spitzes. I don't know if I'd ever actually get one, but they intrigue me and I don't have much experience with them past poms to be honest. The ones that interest me most are the herding type spitz, but most are pretty rare over here. (Namely Icelandic Sheepdogs)
