You know what breed I'd like to see a bit more often?

Thai Ridgebacks. They appeal to me much more than Rhodesians, and they're so beautiful. Their coats alone are breathtaking, but I absolutely fall in love with them everytime I see pictures, and the few I've met in person have been amazing dogs. Very strong, too.

Blue

(I know I'm better, hehe) Looks like a true king.

And, finally, Black

I'd love to own one of these guys. I think that's my next endeavor, if, of course, I can convince the Mr. to let me. (As if I'd bother to ask)

I like all the primitive dogs (Carolinas being my current favorite besides the Dingo (I might end up in Hawaii within several years, so no Dingo for me, they're banned as "Wild").

I like the Rhodesians better though, I think its the wedge head and pointy ears that throws me. I don't even like it on ACDs which I have a mix of. The Rhodesian is much more houndish, and hounds are adorable...

I had the pleasure of meeting a Thai Ridgeback in person while at the UKC Premier. Awesome dog! I'd love to see one in action some day just to get a true taste of their personality and ability.

I personally prefer the Rhodesian (probably only because I know a few), but the Thai's are such unique dogs. I love the red ones especially. :)

I, too, am a huge fan of the reds, but the fawns are also just as beautiful.
Erm, and the blues...and the blacks.

:p

I've always wanted to meet one! The only kennel club shows around here are AKC shows, where Thai's aren't a part of :(

Dont under estimate the size these dogs are fearless- but shy with strangers.
I have had my 140lb male in a room with them and they did not fear him and would of nailed him if he tried to take their food.

They handle heat very very well.

They are okay..I alwaya think they look like Xolo's esp the "naked appearing" colors LOL.

I much prefer RRidgebacks...but they are a nice breed who's people probably hope they stay obscure!

They are beautiful; but very skittish; I wouldn't want one; I want a bolder dog. The few I've met personally tried to slip their leads and leave when startled by sudden noises; that so wouldn't work in this house; they'd be neurotic within minutes.

It may just be the temperaments of the few I've met; but it kinda spoiled me; they are amazing looking and that coat is like silk.
