yogurt and canned pumpkin?

when switching foods doesnt adding canned pumpkin or yogurt help their bellies adjust to the new food?
I have started switching Ruckus's food and he has not had upset belly but I want to be safe.

Pumpkin helps with the runs or constipation. I only give this if needed.
Yogurt is okay to give at any time.

Usually switching slowly will help.
