Yellow goo coming out of my dog's wiener

I don't know what it is, but there is some strange yellow goo coming of the tip of my dog's penis, stuck in the hairs that grow off the end.

Does anyone have any idea what it is or should I call my vet right away?

I want to know too. Dads rotts have it bad. it just drips! it will get the kitchen floor slick and you can bust your butt

I've seen several dogs with this...not sure what it is though. I've never seen it in a neutered dog though, so that should help. I don't think it's something to worry about...but I'm not a vet, so I'm not sure. Try calling your vet for advice.

Hmmm, that's odd... I've never seen this before but if it doesn't occur in nuetered dogs than it is probably seimen(sp?) Just a guess but if it affects his behavior or anything at all i'd say take him to the vet...

Usually what happens is something will get caught in the sheath. You need to take a syringe and steril water or saline and rinse out the inside of the sheath a few times. I have had to do it a couple times to Red. Actually he needs it again.

It also could be pre-ejaculation. Red does that too! did that on my BED!:yikes:
But the constant dripping makes me believe his thingy is irritated and needs a good rinse.
Also do check with the vet as well. Since I am not there and cannot see I am only guessing. Educated guesses but guesses none the less

If your dog isn't neutered it is discharge of somesort :yikes: whether it is pre ejaculation or what I'm not sure I just know it is gross and has an odor. Intact males have a BOY smell that I think when owned you become immune to the smell. My intact boy has it sometimes and I can also smell that smell :yikes: My parents neutered male that used to be my dog doesn't have the discharge well maybe once in a blue moon but he definately doesn't have that boy dog smell

I had a couple of my in tack males with this ... it's an irritation and the vet can give you a salve. seemed to happen in my males that licked there a lot . Don't you love those yellow dots !!

It's pretty much normal.......unless there is a smell or alot of it.
I have seen it on alot of male dogs whether neutered or not. I have always just thought it is natures way of keeping things clean.:yikes:
If I notice any on Charlie I just wipe it off with a tissue.
