happy dance central, now trying to figure out the legistics of the move over the next month.

one of the landlords came by last night (at 11pm!:yikes to ask us what he can do to make us stay...

Good luck with the moving! My suggestion is start bringing over little stuff now (or as soon as you are able) and just make one trip in a big UHAUL with your furniture/mattresses)

thats kinda the plan merico, only were getting a storage unit and we well be boxing things up and putting it in there for now...
then the big stuff/essentials will move over on moving day...
and once the big stuff is in we can go collect the boxes from storage at our leisure to unpack as we have the time

In two weeks we moved my brother out of old apt, into storage place, then into new apartment.

Never listen to the about advice, and he ended up getting a smaller sized UHAUL... 4 trips later small apt was finished loading into storage unit. Ughh. My body is still feeling that one.

Congrats FoxyWench! I am glad to hear that you are looking at a happier place. I hope the move goes smoothly for you. I am surprized to hear that one of your land lords wanted you to stay! They usually are glad to or are not bothered by the person/people leaving!

I am sorry to hear how long it took to move your brother, MericoX. I hope it all went well and that you feel better soon.

ugh mericox...that sucks!

the daunting task of the move is now catching up to me and im like GAH!, i feel so lazy right now as we dont have nay boxes, id much prefer to start packing like NOW...weve got like 3 weeks.

im going to try and get the keys early, but we'll have to see if the owner will be willing.
