WOW. (Warning for some, disturbing)

I follow The Patrick Miracle on facebook, and this dog was shared. Her name is Hope, and her """owner""" tried to 'allegedly' decapitate her.

Here is a news story.

If it's true that the measure of civilization is how we treat our animals, well, we need to step back and re-evaluate ourselves pretty harshly.

I saw this, Atlanta is about 4 hours from me, so it made the rounds in our rescue region.

Dumping dogs is sadly not at all uncommon around here. Sick, demented twist on it to tie the dog up when you leave...
Its a horrible place to be where you find yourself telling someone "why don't you just shoot the dog?"

People are sick. Its people like Mr. Smith that give me hope that maybe humanity isn't completely distorted.

And they say humanity is civilized. I think I would rather live with the uncivilized beasts if this is what civilized means. uggg and people wonder why I prefer my pets over most people. In all my years of fostering this is by far the worst I have ever seen and the animal still be alive.
