As Ado said... JRTS always and forever.

But I will have dogs that are not jrts too.
The LHWs are very easy dogs to live with, funny loving and not too demanding. Yes its nice to have something that is not thinking ALL the time.

Darien's Sport is one of the best BC I have EVAR met.. truely an amazing dog. I will have my own BC one day and I want one JUST like 'sprotty'

As for breeds from the past.. no to shih tzus, no to lab crosses, maybe to Dalmations (she was FANTASTIC.. but can I find another one like Bally?) no to GSD. But if we could find another 'Alex' I would say yes. (GSDXNewfXwolf?)

I would love a crested one day.

Absolutely for a poodle!! I will always have a poodle of some size in my life. They are my heart breed.

Not ever to a bichon! Poodles fit my bill much better (not to mention, i havnt met a bichon i really liked since mine).

I would love to have other breeds as well someday.

Border Collies? Yes. Hands down. I adore the breed and couldn't imagine life without them.

A scruffet? Ha, no. I don't see myself having another Miley. She's a rad little dog but eh. I'd never go seek one out. Especially because it's rare to find one as lovely as she.

A Sheltie? Yes. Small and loud. Just like me. Shelties are awesome little dogs.

I love Chihuahuas' spunk, (sauciness) their affectionate and loving personalities to their owners and anyone they're well socialized to and their playful antics, the funny contortions they make. They're very entertaining and endearing little dumplings.
I never thought I would ever want one, but my friend had one who absolutely sold me on the breed. I had no idea how fun they could be! I am so not at the point in my life where I could own a toy breed (I can barely keep Meg warm and safe at the barn some days!), but at some point in my life, I'm getting one. Or a whole herd of them.

To be honest....probably not. JRTs are amazing, amazing dogs...and maybe a well-bred one or an older shelter dog, one day. But Milo's anxiety and D/A are something I wouldn't want to deal with again.

A PsudoBorderCattledog?

No.

Brains are only trouble with them. They are evil and use their brains to plot how to catch cats, dogs, people and many other things. Buster has now convinced himself that CARS need to be barked at.

I'm looking mainly at Malamutes or Chessies/Lab mixes. I can do without the DA though...

Dobermans - of course, no doubt about it. The day I don't have a Doberman at my side is the day when the world ends... and I'd probably have one with me then too.

Corgis - ummm... probably. The fiance loves them, they are his breed. I like them, but IMO no corgi cann hold a candle to my Dobermans. (don't let the fiance see that... he'd have a cow!)

boston terrier - I will always have a boston. They're the perfect mix of goofiness and intelligence for me. I'm hoping to add another to the crew in another year or so. Joey needs a friend....the cats are getting sick of his attempts at playing with them, lol.

min pin - As much of a sweetheart Roxie was I don't think I'd ever seek out a min pin. They are a little too intense in temperment for me.

Rescue mutts of unknown origin? Absolutely. As long as I'm able to have a dog, I'll have at least one rescue dog, most likely a mutt. I have had wonderful experiences with them. (And yes, I realize that one cannot type all mutts; maybe I've just been really lucky, but I'm willing to press my luck again!)

I am considering, in the back of my mind, getting a purebred dog next time, though. I'd love a great dane or a leonberger. But my guess is that I'll find a dog I have to have on petfinder or by spending time with a rescue when the time comes.

Scottie- HELL YES (as someone else said about another breed). I told myself I would NEVER get a Terrior, but I did and I love Scotties. Bear might come far and inbetween but I am willing to take that chance with another Scottie.

Lab- No. I have known/owned many labs and though none of them could even compare to Jet and all of her sweetness, I don't think I could own another one.

I would however have my bernese mtn dog and my rescued red husky, in the far future. :)

Oh hell yes. It is Paps all the way for me. My dog will always be a Pap, Paul can have any other breed he wants as long as it is not a known DA dog.

I will always have a Cocker Spaniel in my life. Most people are so snobby about not liking the breed. But I absolutely love them. Maggie never fails to make me laugh atleast once a day. Both she and Tucker (though he lives with Brattina now) totally made me fall for the breed.

Lab. As someone who was once terrified of labs after being attacked twice by purebreds. I probley would have laughed in your face 11 months ago if you told me I would someday be in love with this breed. But after having Sawyer in my life I have fallen head over heels for the breed. I love their dorky hyper active behavior. Obviousely he will grow out of it but still its amusing. Sawyer is also probley the smartest dog I have ever owned in terms of training. He picks up on new commands within 15 minutes and doesent forget. I also love that though he most likely would lick a intruder to death. He does have a big mean bark and growl when people knock on the door. So in other words yes I will have a Lab again. I actually found a great breeder only 30 minutes away that I plan to buy a puppy from three years from now.

A Lab/lab mix - Yes, probably, from a shelter.

A Chow chow - If I lived in a colder climate.

A wolf hybrid - 99.9% NO.

A Papillon - if I had to have a smaller dog, this is what I would own.

Border Collies - always.

Lab- YES! I was really young when we had our lab, like six years old. We didn't do much with it. We had it on a tie out for most of the day, and I rarely played with it. It ended up running away. I missed the whole experience with owning one, and later I feel in love with the personalty. Labradors in the future, HELL YA!!!

Chow- I won't go seeking for one, but I am curious on what a stable version of the breed is like. If I were to get one, it will be from a rescue.

APBT- We will have to wait and see.;)

Now that we have Murphy, I can't imagine being without a boxer. He is everything I wanted and more. Considering I spent all of an hour with a boxer before I had him, it's nice to know that the breed I wanted for 5 years was the right breed for me.
Maya is one of a kind, we'll never find another one of her. She's half beagle, and we're pretty sure the other half is made up of Aussie and maybe some Lab. I wouldn't have a purebred Beagle, but I would love to have an Australian Shepherd. I will probably have a few more mutts in my life though.
My parents still have the Keeshond I grew up with and I would consider owning one if I found one in rescue.
Maya was an impulse decision at a time I didn't think we were quite ready for a dog. When we found Murphy we were ready for a second dog, but wanted to fence in the yard first (still haven't managed to do that). I just totally believe they were meant to be ours. I have some breeds in mind that I would like to have, but I'll just go with whatever dog feels right at the time.

German Shepherd - Absolutely. I would love to have another, someday, and I happen to know an amazing breeder... whose dogs actually herd AND protect. They are known as incredibly loyal dogs, and they deserve that recognition. Undying loyalty is one of my favorite qualities in a dog.

Bichon Frise - I adored my Bichon, but I don't like the health problems nor the upkeep that the breed requires. My little guy was great, but he was not the brightest bulb.

Australian Shepherd - I love them... and if a perfect rescue presented itself, at the right time, I would definitely consider it. But I probably won't seek out an Aussie any time soon. I'm not a fan of the bounciness.

Rottweiler - Hopefully. I don't think a Rottie would fit my life right now, but maybe someday. I'm hoping at least that my Dad will get one.

Border Collie - YES! I know there will never be another like Gonzo, but he has made me fully appreciate everything about this breed, the good and the bad. It's hard to explain, but I learned how to handle/train/care for dogs from Gonzo, and I think I will always treat my dogs and expect from them the energy/intelligence level of a Border Collie. So, I will definitely always have Border Collies, because my idea of owning a dog has been molded to fit this breed.

Corgis - HECKKK YEAH! I love everything about Corgis. Just seeing one brightens up my entire day. They are a perfect fit for my personality, and now that I have Fozzie I cannot imagine being without one, for all of their sassiness and cuddliness and comic relief.
