Ok...confessing this one....years ago when we got our little Cairn, poor little guy had fleas at first. My hubby was less than thrilled (just at first) to my getting a dog, so he would say 'keep that Fleabag away from me'. My daughter was only one year old, and she picked up on 'Flea'....so for 16 years that poor dog's name was Flea. Needless to say, we sounded pretty silly outside when calling 'Flea!'

Hammie's name is Hamlin Cort, and I've mentioned this before but my son truly cannot believe that I'm the one that named him. He says it's the dorkiest name on the face of the planet. He calls him 'Dogface'.....yeah, like THAT'S better???!!!

nicknames......Addie is 'Addie Bo Daddie'
Hammie is 'Hamster'....that's what Dave calls him
BBGirlfriend, the cat, is called many names that can't be put in print!!!!!

Oh I forgot the lovely names my neices and nephews have given past pets. When my oldest nephew Christian was 3 (he's 10 now) they got a Akita puppy who was so adorable. And my sister alowed him to name it and he named it Buzz LightYear from that disney movie Toy Story. I always cringed when I would call him.

They also had a cat at one point and of course my nephew Christian got to name it and he named it Pikachoo (sp?) from that stupid cartoon. It was so fat I just ended up calling it Tubby.

My brother got my neices two kittens a few years ago and their names are Gizmo and Izmo. Gizmo's not that bad but im not so sure about Izmo lol. And my oldest Neice Tatum got to named their Picardy Shepherd puppy Zero.

My dingo hybrid is named Dingo. My pit bull is Minmei. Cats are Blackameowna and Tita. Potbelly pig is Piggy. Our last dog was a GSD. My husband wanted to call him dee oh gee, (a name I do not care for) so I said "you might as well call him barky boy. We had Barky Boy for many happy years... Also had a black cat we named Koontah Kittay. My parents had two saint bernard timber wolf mixes when they lived in Chicago. They liked NOBODY but my parents. Their names were Honey and Baby. I had a big marmalade tomcat named Matilda, My brothers dogs, a chow & pitbull mix named Crank and one of my GSD puppies named Clutch, a brown cat called Resin and two goldfish, Shit and Eat. Then we have my Moms two tiny little pomeranians who tip the scales at under 5 lbs each. They are called Terror and Satan. (The names suit them) My sister has a mexican hairless named Fluffy and a bouvier des flandres called Iddybiddy. (The dog is HUGE) Other brother has a mutt named Queequeg and a min pin, Dobernugget and my aunts leg humping mini poodle, Bimbo.

i wondered if it was a shiperke (sp?) i saw one on a boat once, his sea footing was very impressive..he ran all around the edge (don't know boat terms) of the ship and stood way out at the very front...it was his boat! He was very small, black with long hair..thought maybe inches was the same..i think they have shiperkes have a history as boat dogs.
