Wish I could help !! In 30 years I never had worms in pups. I always made sure my females were worm free before breeding and had pups checked 3 times before going home.

If your pup has worms you have to have it treated by a vet. Once it is worm free then you can give them hartguard or whatever to keep them from coming back. I have no idea how long treatment takes.

Somebody can correct me if I am wrong here.

Well the vet gave us the pills...she has gone 4 times today, and the last stool about 2 hours ago had 1 worm in it.

WOw poor pup, she was almost full.

Yup the vet should have given you I believe 4 months worth of worming.

I'm guessing they gave you Interceptor?
When I had brought Riot home, he was sick the first few days because he had roundworm. But it cleared right out of his system after the first batch of pills were given to him.

Just keep on the pills that your vet gave you and then inquire about a monthly thing for your pup.

Well after that does is over I'd suggest going back to tyour vets for a prescribed worm/flea/tick treatment for your pup so stuff like that doesn't happen again to them :)

What medication do you suggest?

Interceptor?

My Yoshi is having the same problem right now.

First poop in the morning is fine, 2nd one is usually mushy... sometimes with the dreaded worm.

:(

Sometimes it takes until the second dose as well. Also, if he didn't have "bad" worms to start with he may only be passing on eggs and such as well :)
