So, I took the Wolfhounds out for a nice run in one of the horse fields today. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get video until after they were tired, so not really good running shots, but still some fun :)

    Here is the video:

Elwood, my foster dog (soon to be my adopted dog), and his Wolfie friends.

And Cleo and her mom Renee just relaxing after their fun.

    Beautiful, regal looking dogs!:)
There is a wolfhound around where I live that I have ran into a couple of times, I never realized just how BIG they are until I met him:yikes:

<3 <3 <3 Your girls are beautiful! Normally, I love brindle and despise "fawn" colours... but for some reason, I LOVE wheatons!

I love Cleo's colour. She even has a bit of a chest mask when she is properly stripped for show. Renee is technically a brindle, though like most brindle wolfies she looks grey. They really are big dogs, but I don't think of them that way. Guess I'm used to it. Of course to me a typical "large" dog is a medium ;) My medium boy, Zorro is small... Just a matter of perspective :D

They are so cool!! Is is bad that visually they make me think "Ohhhh look at the VERY big terriers!!?"

They are a wish list breed for me, but I've only met one... So it's likely a far in the future must do tons more research type of wish....

Unfortunately Wolfhounds are a heartbreak breed with an average lifespan of 6-10 years :( I've seen more and more living longer, but with bone cancer and heart problems as top killers its not hard to see why they go early. Other prime problems include bloat and pneumonia. But their personality is so wonderful, I'd rather have one for a short time than never have had one at all.

LMAO!!!! Another one :D People look at me so strangely when I refer to my GSDX and APBT as "the little dogs."

I have always loved the Irish Wolfhounds. Before Filas entered my life I had always had them on the top of my wanted breed list. <3

 Yeah, funny how the perspective works. Ironically my son really wants a lap dog for our next dog. Unfortunately (sort-of) we have decided to adopt our foster, so no new dogs for a while now. When the old man, Zorro, goes I will consider it, but (hopefully) that's a ways away still.

If your son wants a lap dog, consider an APBT :D
