Red my *about to be* 9 year old min pin is not doing so good at moment. He has bad alergies and well they got to him. He scratched the membrain of his right eye and cuased it to pop out some and become swollen. Well the vet said he MIGHT lose the eye. They put him on meds and gave him a E collar to ware. Sat he will be going back to the vet to check on it. Wish him luck.

Well we are back from vet and all, well she said it looks ok its no worse than the other day, thats good. Plus blood is getting to the eye, thats good. She is still thinking of doing a eye flap thing where they sow up the eye lid for a while and see if it heals. well before we do that we are taking him to anohter vet to just make sure that is what needs to be done.

Well we took him to a diff vet to see what they said about it. THAT vet said it is healing good and will not be no need to remove the eye. Also he gave him a shot for his itching and it helped alot.

Also is there any way to check for mange on a dog by feeling the inside of there ears? just asking. I know dum question.

Eyes are weird, I've had a couple dogs get eye injuries and they looked horrible, but once they got treated, cleared up very quickly. Hope he makes a quick recovery.
