Took Wilson to swim at my parents for the first time this summer today.. he was quite excited LOL. Here are some from the day.. collar held up great and dries super fast! Wilson's been wearing it 24/7 since I got it and it looks great and hasn't stretched a bit.

Hoooooly crap, that collar looks so good on him. The colour complements his fur so well!

Great that it holds up so well too. Poor Wilson. All of this terrible animal testing. ;)

I know right, poor Wilson.. he's looking quite sad to be testing the collar, eh?

Sorry about the pool envy guys! If I could bottle it up and send it around, I would!

Wait. WAIT.

These collars are water-safe?

Ugh.

I did not need to know that. Now I want to spend more money on summer collars for Eve.

LOL yes they definitely seem to be! That's why I'm testing it out in the water, to see how it does. I'll be buying 2 more for my other dogs once Rebecca starts offering it :)

LOVE Wilson. Great pics! I'm really glad to hear the collar is drying fast. Always a plus.
Thanks Ben :) Yes it literally was dry within 10min. after getting out of the pool. Definitely a really cool material!

Kady-
These photos are AMAZING!!!! WOW.

I'm so glad to hear the collar is holding up and that it's doing great in the water! :D

I think I'm going to work on picking the colors I want to offer today.
Then we can get this rolling. I have a ton of requests for them.

They'll also be available to be embroidered as well. :)

Oh, also, I wanted to clarify (since I was contacted about it) that these collars are not considered "vegan" simply because the material isn't leather.

These collars are considered vegan because the material used is meant, specifically, to look like leather and ACT like leather without being leather.
The material also handles water better than leather.

Yes, it's THAT awesome. :D

And, no, we're not offering vegan leads simply because leads vary too much in desired lengths, and we do not have lengths available to make leads available in this material.

The material also cleans up better than leather and is dirt removal is easier than leather. Typically, a dry cloth and some rubbing will remove most dirt.

My one question/concern would be does it get super hot in the sun? I imagine most leather like collars get hot when the sun is beating down on them.

:rofl1: same here.....as I have two water dogs who spend their summer time in the water....

I LOVE this collar. I am still not sure if I can order one of these though because my two's neck measurements are a 10"

Does it come in small?

I haven't noticed that, and it's been 95 here all weekend. Of course, it's a little hot to the touch, but the dogs don't seem to care and no red skin or anything like that.

Well, everything gets hot in the sun, but it doesn't get any hotter than leather. :)

And, besides, there are two other layers involved to the collar that would protect a dog's neck that aren't exposed to the sun. :D

Correct. Piper wore it today by the pool, out in the 95 degree heat/sun for a good hour & a half, no problems with it becoming too hot. And she is the Queen of sensitive skin!

I thought of this yesterday: Metal is going to get the hottest in the sun.
If a dog's tags, or collar name plate, doesn't get too hot, I highly doubt this material will.
