So, I've realized that I am not getting ANY work out from PE at school, haha.
So I've started doing 20 minutes f Wiifit everyday.
I just started today.. I forgot what a workout this game is!!!
I did ten reps of pushups, and about 6 reps on each leg of lunges, 6 reps of this jacknife thing that works your abs.. Some twist things, then almost all of the balance games, which are the soccer ball one and skii jump and skii slalom. And around 600 things of extreme hula hooping, around 300 going left and 300 going right.

I'm beat. I am so sore, but it feels good. My stomach muscles which usually hurt since the tube feel... Normal when I am "working out". I'm not in pain.. Well other than my legs from the lunges, LOL

Whew, I feel fabulous.

try adding an extra 10 mins, 5 mins yoga to warm up and 5 mins to cool down.
the step is also alot of fun and a good work out when you get to advanced.

my routein is
5 mins yoga poses as a warm up, i dont bother with the deep breathing but the poses are good for stretching out those muscles.

then i do the basic step as an additional warm up...

10 mins of strengh (i try to do different ones each time) and 10 mins of areobic (usually hulahoop, advanced step and then advance hulahoop...

then i od basic step as a cool down and another 5 mins of yoga as a finnish stretch.

if i have more time ill generally add fomr balance games to the end...
and if im realy feeling up to it i like to add an extra 10 mins of either/both aroebic and strength...

and when im stressed ill throw in more yoga for the sake of it.

i try to do 30 mins every day at least, but ive been slacking big time for the past month...:(

I want that game bad too.
I keep hearing how good it is to workout on one of those.
My best friend swims and has for years, and she says that they wiifit works equally as good as swimming or better.

*makes plans for Christmas list*

We bought a Wii a couple of months ago. Actually had someone smuggle it in from the UK because it isn't available here.

You'd think with all the trouble we'd me making great use of it. But no! It's sitting in its box under the stairs...until we buy a tv. :D

Sounds like fun, though. Good for you!

I wanted a WiiFit, but got DDR instead. I can play HOURS of DDR, I love it. It's a good workout too. I'm afraid to get WiiFit now, because I don't know if I'll actually enjoy it as much. :/

I borrowed a Wii Fit from someone's apartment we're watching while he's deployed. I get it back, turn everything on and open the case, only to realize the disc isn't in there. We go back a few days later to retrieve it. So, all excited again now that I have the disc, I turn everything on, only to realize the batteries in the balance board are dead. Well that's fine, they're rechargeable, so I just plan to go back and grab the cable to recharge them. Finally got that two nights ago, let it charge most of the day yesterday, happily turn everything on again, only to find that the balance board still isn't working. LOL. I give up. It sounds like so much fun and I want to play it so bad, but this one clearly has no intentions of working properly.

By the way, do you actually find it working? Like, are you getting in better shape and all that? Is it fun enough that it's actually motivating you to keep working out?

I think you might need to "synch" the balance board with the console again. Try that

syncing sounds like your problem, its very easy to do let me know if you need to know how...

in terms of how good is it...

well WHEN i use it...i use it 5 out of 7 days usually, its alot of fun and i can definatly feel the excersizes working, i like the fact that it teaches you better posture and balance by simply being a balance board...im not a big fan of the actual balance games though, i simply have bad balance and timing, the penguin/fish game though thats fun.
in the areobics section i avoid the jogging, least while we are in an apartment, you realy need jogging shoes and noone in the apartment below as it hurts your feet when you try to make as little noise as possible...when we get a house though...
the hulahoop is kick but, hulahooping is great excersize on its own...
please be noted that using the wiifit hulahoop game will NOT teach you how to use an actual hulahoop...but thats one you realy feel...
and the step is fun and once you get to advanced step you can work up a sweat...
they do have a freform step and a freeform boxing that ive not yet managed to unlock...

i used it every day for a month and lost 15lbs with NO dietary or other changes.
unfortunatly ive slacked off reacently because ive been feeling like hell and its aparently my job to have a job and clean the apartment and do EVERYTHING...and by the time thats all done all i want to do is sit on my lazy arse...

No, that wasn't it. The balance board would never turn on, so I was never able to sync it. I don't think the rechargeable battery he has was charging right. I just went out and got my own for my birthday. That one works much better.

But my Wii Fit age is 35 :(
I don't understand how it determines that. I got 21, which is a year less than my real age. Brian got 27, and Nick got 33! It said something about them having bad balance and not being very fit. I just looked at both of them and started laughing. They're both in the Army and required to be in shape. I'm the one who's not in shape, LOL.

My balance is HORRIBLE. It asked me if I have trouble not tripping over my feet...... and I do! LOL that's probably why mine was so high. Because my BMI is great.

Balance Board just reminded Justin that my birthday is in a week and asked him if he's thought of any gift ideas :D Little does it know that it IS my gift! Yayyyy and I love it...

Although my Wii Fit age went up :( I wish it didn't use BALANCE to determine your wii fit age..... because I have HORRIBLE balance :(

And now Justin's Wii Fit age is a lot better than mine!!!! And I'm way more fit than he is. He just has better balance.

I don't get it.
