Hi everyone! My names Sarah and I live in North Florida, almost on the Georgia line. I love it in this area though I want to move to a smaller town and live on acreage hopefully within the next few years.
One of my best-kept secrets is that I am in the process of starting my own breeding program. Don't get mad just yet! I will do all and more of the neccessary health testing and will title the dogs before being bred. I've always kept it a secret because I am very involved in rescue and work for a humane society, and I didn't know what they would think of me. But I am getting more comfortable around the people and now know that as long as I do it responsibly and continue to volunteer often, they approve ;D
I have four dogs: Mandy, a White German Shepherd X and Nova, Luka, and Buck, Labrador Retrievers. My dogs are fed an all-raw diet and are not vaccinated (long story short - my yellow Labs have both suffered from major vaccine reactions and we are having a hard time curing them now.)
Mandy is a shelter puppy and I've had her since she was 8 weeks old. She was "my" first dog, though she is technically my parents dog since she is in their name. I take care of her though. (She is spayed.)
Nova is my one year old Yellow Lab. She is my 'heart' dog. I plan on getting her into therapy work, she would be wonderful at it. She has her CGC and will start participating in obedience shows later this year or early next year. (She is spayed.)
Luka is my two year old Yellow Lab that I adopted from the humane society last November. She was abused before the humane society rescued her. She is an obedient dog if she tries, though she just doesn't "get it" sometimes. She tries very hard to please though and I will take that any day over her just not listening. (She is spayed.)
Buck is my 14.5 week old Black Lab puppy. He will play all day if you let him. I have to put him in his crate for quiet time sometimes, because he will pester the other dogs to get them to play with him. If he turns out nicely, he will be the start of my "kennel" (I hate that term since my dogs are a part of my family.)
Well, that's me and my crew. This place looks like a lot of fun and I already see a few people I know from other boards =D
