if you want higher fat/protein in the dogs diet, it's probably a better idea to go with a higher quality food and then supplement the protein and fat [fish oil, eggs, real meat, quality canned food - usually in the same brand as your kibble]. gives the dog some excitement and variety, and then you know that the main part of their food is SUPER good for them. i have heard no end of stories of people who found their dogs were way healthier and happier on better food.
