Yeah, I hear you. Just ask me how going to pick up Gimimick's sister went. You know Bella with a penis?

Even if I do manage to get her and take her home it is not assured she will stay at casa de Curly Tails.

Husband has merely conceded that we will rescue her and foster...

So squishy and adorable! Even though I don't think shar-peis are a good match for me temperament wise, I am soooo attracted to them, it drives me crazy.

Well, let's file that under things I should never do again.

I almost got in an argument with the woman cause all she obviously cared about was the price tag she had attached to this puppy.

She wants someone to pay $900 because mini shar pei. Now mind you this little bundle has not had her shots, has no papers, and by the woman's admission was bred by someone who "just had a litter".

When I tried to explain to hear that I needed her to meet me half way on the price she threw the fact that I compete in dog events (which I had mentioned) in my face saying "Well, I just want her to be a pet and not have to be in competitions." Obviously this lady has never been around dog people before...

I offered her $400 on the spot and she refused. Mind you she has only had this puppy for two months.

Also the pupply smelled of yeast...she has a skin infection (can tell just by the smell. Also I am pretty sure she is going to need entropion surgery.

She is precious and I really wish I could help/save her...but I can not in good conscience spend $900 just to get her away from her b*tch of a current owner. Oh, this lady also has another add on Craigslist for a Champion Pom...he is a retired show dog and she states that people better be ready to pay more than a couple of hundred dollars for him...because Champion!:wall:

So now what :( I am very torn up about this and oh so angry and sad for this puppy!

I flagged both her adds for the moment...

Aw that is too bad, sadly I'm not surprised. I wish you could have got her, though I'm not a huge fan of paying/rewarding someone to get a dog out of a bad situation, I do agree it is so important for these breeds to be in the right hands and she will just sell her to first person with the cash.

Lady sounds like a real piece of work...feel so bad for the little girl. I know it was probably hard to walk away, but you have to draw a line somewhere unfortunately. Hopefully the person who takes her has at least researched some...not usually the case, but one can hope.

Poor little thing. I talked the people down for Glitch since I had his brother and wasn't going to breed 'her', which was their original plan
