After my pup has had a meal he comes in the living room and rubs his nose over all of the sofa. He is on the same food he was on before we got him and its only the past 2-3 days he has started doing it.
My Simba has did this since day one. I've always considered it as him wiping off his face. Unless there's redness/dryness around his nose/muzzle, I wouldn't worrry.
My dog Teddy does this aswell, I just consider it as her being her spaz little self, when shes done with that she starts playing with her tail. Like Muttlies3 said, unless theres no sign on irritation around the nose, theres no harm in it
