anybody know why the number of views only goes as high as the number of replies + 1 ?
Could you please explain this a little more? I'm a little bit confused about what you're saying.
On my screen anyway, the right side of the main forums page has the number of views a thread has and next to it, the number of replies.
Say a thread has 4 replies, then the views will say 5.
I've never been to a forum where everytime someone viewed a thread, they posted a reply. Just thought it was kinda weird.
I asked the same question a long time ago. Some talked about it, but no definant answer was found.
the forum doesnt even count views of posts, the count is just there for a cosmetic reasons, so somebody probobly felt it needed to be one more than posted.
This is my guess. The one that posted it viewed it one time. Then every other person that posts makes the veiw go up one and the posts go up one. lol
That's probably it or my guess too anyway.
I know the exact answer.
One person creates a topic, and they view their topic after it is posted. That is 1 view, and one post. When other people look, they will look at it 2 times, before they post and after they post.
aww but what about those people who view it and don't post. that, is, the question.
Maybe we all reply to posts I know usually I post on everything
Well thats because usually I always have something to say everything
I hardly reply to anything. There's no time lol. And if you view a thread and go back and view it again it doesn't change. The views that is
I know I was just kidding although I usually have something to say about everything that part is true
I usually read a thread more than once and then sometimes reply later, after I have been watching it. I believe the answer is........."views" are just not counted or there would be a much larger number there, than on "replys".
I really wish the views were accurate, that would be interesting.
maybe the forum is really one person pretending to be lots of people
Separate names with a comma.
