We're doing a DNA test on Buddy. This is not the place for wondering how accurate they are or what a waste of money it is... start your own thread if you want to chat about that.

This is the thread, however, for people to guess what they think he might be. Whoever gets it 100% accurate, or is the closest, gets a prize for their dog(s) as well as themselves! And no, I'm not telling you what the prize is. Play to find out.

Buddy normally weighs in around the 90's.. he's about 88#'s right now, though. I'd measure him but I don't know how to do so correctly.
He's a little over two years old now- and in these pictures.

If I have to guess the mix.. then I'll go with something simple.. GSP/Lab. But I think it equally possible that instead of Lab it could be a mixture of goodness knows what.

The ticking/black patterns like Buddy's are quite common in Dalmatian and heeler mixes (seeing as how heelers had Dal in them.) Ivan, our second male was usually around 90 pounds, which is big for a Dal, but he was purebred, though BYB all the way. There are a couple pictures where if I squint, I can kind of see Ivan on Buddy.

I would say Dalmatian/ACD-Lab/possibly Dane.
