Auggie does this thing where, if I'm holding him in my arms, he'll put his little head on my shoulder and snuggle in. It's so darn cute. So. darn. cute.
I totally reject Patricia McConnell's notion that dogs don't hug. =>

I knew Marlowe's Hound Timer (ding! I'm done, bored, over it, can we go now?) had gone off at the end of our last agility class because we were all sitting on the floor talking and wrapping things up and instead of a nice down-stay in front of me he crawled in to my lap and flopped over.
:lol-sign: If I sit on the ground between runs in agility class, Meg is automatically on my lap.

Osa is beautiful. Dance loves to cuddle too, it's one of her favourite things to do. Fortunately for me she's not going to weigh any more than 35lbs!

Winston likes to cuddle too, but he's a little big, so he just rests his head on us while Dance likes to climb right into our laps.

Tavish used to cuddle when he was a lot smaller, but now he won't cuddle unless he's really sleepy.. he does like to be carried a lot.

Lucy is definitely, definitely a cuddle bug. She sleeps with me at night and doesn't notice if I roll on her, or roll her into a completely pretzel position, if she's upside down, if I'm on top of her, or if she's under mounds of blankets. She loves the spot on the back of my knees when my legs are folded, too.
Millie is a velcro dog but doesn't like when I move a lot. I pick her up and cuddle her and we lie down together cuddling and completely relaxes and/or falls asleep, but she doesn't stay up on my bed all night or on the couch with me if I move or the bed moves.

Um. yes. A houseful, apparently. Middie looooves being cuddled, and slumps down into my lap when I sit down and he's not playing or already licking-you-know-where. He spoons with me and sprawls himself happily over my legs or chest. Interestingly, he is completely undaunted by my constant fidgeting. That, honestly, was my only fallback with the kitties when I needed some space, so I guess I'm in for it now.

Well . . . . I've been sleeping on a sofa for two weeks. With Kharma. All 125/130 pounds of her, all 5'10"+ of me . . . Bimmer likes to sleep where he can see the doors though. Always vigilant, that one :)

that's kinda like Beezer.

Belle really could care LESS if someone were to come in the house.... I swear.... unless they tried to steal her couch. lol

But Beezer is the watch dog. if Brian is home Beezer will come and sleep close to me.... like last night Brian was getting ready for bed and was in the bathroom so Beezer came in and lay down with his head on my feet in the bed.... He stayed there until Brian came in to get into Bed and then Beezer hopped up and went to his spot onthe couch where he can watch both doors and have the big window right there. It was like "Ok dad's here I don't have to look after mom anymore.... I'm going to watch the doors." Soemtimes if we are both in bed he will come and snuggle for a bit.

BUT... if Brian is NOT home and it's just me.... Beezer will NOT leave the door out of sight. He will NOT sleep with me.... he HAS to keep watch of the door and any little sound he hears outside he will sound off a warning bark lol.

He just has to protect his momma lol
