I really wanted to go upstate to my parents this weekend... Im leaving for Vegas in two weeks and needed to get a few things from their house (yes I still store stuff there!) and wanted to see them and just get out of the city.

But because of this stupid storm all train service is suspended (I can only take the train because buses dont allow dogs).

And there is no point to this except that I feel like whining and my furbutts are too busy with their own issues to make me feel better.

/whine.

I can sympathize...I was supposed to be OUT of this house away from my contagiously miserable family in Boston with my best friend who I haven't seen in weeks going on exciting adventures, but alas, I'm stuck in a house with hardly any food, a rambunctious dog, my hard-of-hearing father BLASTING bad TV, etc. and a rapidly growing headache, and OH GREAT, my 15 year old brother's moronic friends just showed up.

On top of that, my boyfriend's stranded upstate and I'm all alone and unhappy.

I hope you can get your stuff before your trip.

Is a car out of the question? Do you have a car that is good in the snow?

glad to know Im not alone in my misery MM.

Dobe... I dont have a car... when I moved to the city I sold it... its over 400 dollars a month just for a parking space, plus increased insurance, etc... so it just isnt worth it. Theres plenty of transportation between upstate and here, its just a pain that only the train allows dogs.
