We are bringing home a female pug pup in about 4.5 weeks. Basically, I need help on kibble. I'm more familar with the feeding requirements of big dogs (I own 2 Saint Bernards). So I'm a little lost. ;)

Is there a particular protein source that Pugs do better on? What's the max protein/fat percentage?

I'm going to keep her on whatever food the breeder is feeding for the first bit, but I'm sooo picky when it comes to food that I'm positive I'll want to switch her to something better. ;)

My Saints are fed Innova adult (green bag). I 'thought' about getting her the Innova puppy so that once she matures they would all be on the same food. It would be easier that way.. but I don't mind buying her something different.

Any suggestions?

Oh almost forgot, here's a pic of the little sweety. :D She is 3.5 weeks old in this pic.

:) How did I miss this! Squeals!!

I have fed quite a few Pugs, both adults and puppies. My Pugs are very hearty dogs and have tolerated a lot of different foods. Just find a food that you like and that your puppy tolerates well. Innova is a good choice, but just be sure to watch your puppy's intake as it's a little high in calories.

Who are you getting your pup from and how old will it be when it comes home?
