I believe the system in the U.S. is different. Food dyes here are regulated and labeled with FD&C numbers, but I'm not sure if that holds true in Canada. For example, FD&C #40 is Allura Red. FD&C is the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

is there such thing as dog food having different colors without the use of dyes? I got this puppy food and looked I saw no dye or colors mention and open it at home it has all different colors/shapes, what would be hidden serect words that would mean the same thing as dye's, are they allowed not to mention it in there packaging?? It's Scientice something, (sp?)
I believe dyes have to be labeled in some way . . . either has natural/artifical colors or as something that will say [color] dye {number]

Hi, please can you tell me the most healthy dog foods that will help in all or most area's of the dog. Skin, coat, every area part of the dog, or any healthest dog foods and what they help or why they are the best, are the stuff they put in the food health wise? No dyes and that to help keep all area's healthy of the dog. I been seeing foods we have here alot of red dye in it or other things, I need to make a list of all the dog foods we get in town as well, I would like to hear your advice for Buddie's welfair please. Thanks. From Canada. (me)
