Yeah, we have them. Not super often--I've only ever seen one, and it was on me (ew) years ago. Usually though, I think we avoid them because we don't run through the brush where they live... Elsie doesn't live by normal rules, though.
Yup, I'm moving by you guys if you've only ever found one tick! I think my record was pulling 27 off of Zuma (none attached yet) last summer in the parking lot of one of our hiking locations. We have a pretty crazy deticking routine now. LOL
27? There shouldn't even be that many ticks in the whole world. D: I usually just wait until we're home and then brush her out completely, paying extra attention to her ears and underparts.

Ticks are *evil*... We have them by the thousands here! After every hike, I pull at least three off the puppy - He's short and acts like a bloodhound through bushes, so picks up the most. The saluki hardly ever gets any on him... he's too fast and tall! lol
