im looking for a new collar/lead for kenya
i DO NOT like her nylon leash/collar.. its just the plain ones i got when i adopted her at a/c.
i dont usually like nylon collars but thats only because i never see pretty ones
usually i get all my dogs collars at coach, but i thought maybe id find something here that i would like :)
p.s: she wears her collar 24/7 so comfort is also important

for those who do not know what she looks like..
here she is. any suggestions on color ect.. would be great :)

You DO know that this is home of Collar-holics Anonymous, right? You will get more suggestions than you can shake a chewed stick at!

I'm a die-hard Paco Collar fan... but they're expensive, so make sure your dog is done growing and not a collar destroyer before you order! They take awhile to show up, but well worth the wait!

Ronin's Paco collar and leash:

Ilsa's Paco collar (she also has a matching leash):

Ada's Paco collar:

the paco collars are absolutely beautiful :)
i bookmarked the site. the thing is im not sure kenya is finished growing and i think id cry if she grew out of one of those lol
so im going to wait it out :)

in the mean time tho, im also in need of a good lead for when we go to the park/beach

....to ellas lead.com i go! lol

but chewbacca, im a bit confused by all the kinds of leads/ordering process. if you could help me out with that, it would be very appreciated. im just looking for a normal, durable lead, altho on of those emergency handle things that are shorter than the lead that i could grab would be great also

im seeing lots of leads, but im pretty confused about which to pick lol

I've got... 14 leashes from chewbecca/Ellas' Leads. They're amazing!

You've got several rope choices. In my opinion, the NDB (nylon double braid) ropes are the softest, especially the My Name Is Mud rope. Only exception is the Neon Yacht rope - it's stiff, but I still like it. The mountain rope is stiffer but smoooooth - feels like snake scales. It's not as easy to fold up in your hand, but it coils nicely.

Most of my leads have brass - personal preference only, I like the rounded edges of the brass clamps better.

if you need any help ordering Ella's Leads, feel free to ask the forum general too - a lot of us have her leads. :D

Reggin - they can make it a 2" collar - take a look in their 'What's New' section. You want it thicker... no problem! :)

You're just lucky you don't have my problem! I went out and bought a pink leather collar that said "Bella" on it, because everyone thought she was a boy! Nothing drives me crazy like someone calling my dog a he when she's a she! I mean, come on! Her name is BELLA! :p

im hoping the new pretty collar will help people realize that she is friendly and not every GSD is aggressive. people try to get away from her like shes one of the horsemen of the apocalypse, it makes me soo frustrated because she doesnt deserve it and shes great with people!
:) i like the heartbreaker one, im gonna have to save up a little for it tho, and wait til she fills out a bit more to make sure that it will fit her

I made the mistake when I bought my leather collar and got it too wide... :( She doesn't ever wear it now... too bad I can't find someone with a dog named Bella who'd like to have it. lol....
