I live in the Philippines, on a town called "Morong" in the province Rizal. It has been sooooo cold here the last few weeks! And it's not even December! We usually have cold weather during november-december or during rainy seasons, but this past week is crazy!

We live on a 2 storey apartment, pretty cheap to get an apartment here, ours only worth $60 with 1 bathroom, space for laundy at the back, 2 bedrooms.. dining area, visitors are.... we're the first one to live on this apartment, so it's really new when we moved here! :p

Buying houses/apartments/condominiums and even island is pretty cheap here :p haha probably because of the exchange rate ($ = Php) so I would definitely recommend the Philippines if you wanna have a nice vacation spot :p we have some great beaches too haha (am I over promoting my country? :p)

I'm living in what you might call a slum of Cairo. I don't really like it, way way overcrowded, filthy, disgusting, loud, dangerous. But it does have it's charms.

I live in Tennessee . . . was born in Lafayette, Indiana, lived on the Ohio side of the Ohio River about 40 miles downriver from Cincinnati until I started school, then grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, just east of the Berkeley Hills, went to high school on the coast of North Carolina in Wilmington, and ended up here.

One thing I have learned is that it doesn't really matter where I live - I can be happy anywhere. Happiness depends on what is inside you :)
I lived all over growing up too Renee, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan, AZ, and your statement about happiness is VERY true! (but some places are more exciting than others)

Ontario is frigid and snowy right now, I''m loving it!!!!! LOL What I also like about my area is that it is a region packed full of old order mennonites and amish and you cant get a better-made thing than one made by a mennonite nor can you find better tasting home-cooked food!!!! living in this region I was raised as a country girl and am very thankful for that!!! when i take trips to bigger cities it astonishes me how many people my age lack common sense about nature and farm land. The majority of them would have no clue what to do if you dropped them off in the middle of the wilderness and would be so lost without their cellphones and ipods LOL

Ontario has a ton of natural beauty with LOTS of wilderness especially in the northern region (anywhere further north than Toronto). I love it here!!!

Renee's statement about being happy inside made me think.

I lived on Long Island, NY, for most of my life. I do love to go back to eat the great pizza and go to the bakeries. I liked going out east to walk around the small towns.

I now live in Connecticut. It's okay up here but I'm still a New Yorker at heart.

i live in southwestern ct, (fairfeild county)

what i like: its pretty! the fall colours are beautiful, and the fall and spring are comfortable.

what i dont like: its damned expensive, the winters are cold and snow/icy (im british rain i can deal with, snow and ice, no fun) and summers can just get too opressive for me.
theres nothing to do in the general locallity other than pay $13 to go see a movie...
and did i mention its VERY VERY expensive?!
oh and not exactly dog frinedly!
least in my town and general vicinity.

I've lived in Indiana 50 years now and like it . Living in Indianapolis the last 10 yrs has been more interesting than my former city . I love the four seasons . Though it's flat country here , an hour north or south is like a different state .... Lakes to the north , mountains to the south . It's a little/big city , so has a lot to offer . But , I agree, home is where the heart is .

I live in New York my whole life.
First Brooklyn then Queens and now Niagara .

I love it - but the taxes are high.

I miss the bakeries and the ethnic food of NYC.

I'm in Fort Worth, Texas.

I love Texas. I have been everywhere from FL to Montana and I haven't found a place yet that screams HOME to me like Texas. Its a very homey state, & i've found its just a lot "friendlier" state.

I did love passing thru Colorodo on our way to Montana, I'd never seen mountains and things like that, and of course never a Moose crossing sign! LOL

I love St. charles, Mo. Love the weather, I love all the seasons, and love to go boating on the river. I also love vacationing at the beach in Florida. I do miss the ocean when I am landlocked.

good old northern Ohio!

Fifty one week and negative five the next:p

I love it here! corn fields and old dirt roads.

I am close enough to cleveland that there is stuff to do and thank god also far enough away from it!

I don't mind the weather-the extremes can be fun.

I live in Oregon & have since 1980. I was raised in Washington state, which in right across the Columbia River. I love both states!!! Showpug said it all in her post. I live right where the desert starts. We have great climate here, and usually don't have a much rain as Oregon is notorious for. I don't like the winters here, because we have inversions a lot here, which causes a really low fog to hang on the river. It can get really dreary!!!! All of the other seasons are heavenly where I am.

i live in MI

I used to love it, but right now with these rediculously cold temps i am hating it, lol. I love the lakes and all the 'wilderness' it has to offer up north. I think MI is a REALLY cool state cause it has so many diff things...and i like that it has all 4 seasons to the extreme...

however i hate that its economy sucks, and that its one of the fattest states...so ill prob be moving once i am done with college.

I have lived in a small department within the Limousin region of southern (only just though) France for nearly 5 years now.

I love it! It truely is heaven on earth... Each season is exactly how it should be, and I look forward to the changing of them, different sights, smells and sounds on very familiar grounds.

The State of Flux is usually wherever I happen to be, lol! To quote Buckaroo Banzai, "just remember, no matter where you go, there you are." :D

Or you can think of Flux as something that turns to a liquid when put to the flame and connects two pieces permanently, creating one whole. ;)
