Where did everyone meet their boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/fiancee/life-partner/whatever. The first time you saw them perhaps, the first time you spoke to them, the first time you hit it off?

We actually met online lol

I was bored at home one day (my new job didn't start for a week so I got pretty bored by the end of the week lol) and was searching yahoo members just for fun and his name came up and said he was online... so I sent him a message just saying "hello how are you" that sort of thing. Well he didn't respond. I thought "What a jerk" lol doesn't even say go away or anything hahaha.

About two weeks later I get this message from someone I didn't know. I figured out that it was him lol the guy that didn't respond to my message. turns out he was away doing army stuff and in fact wasn't online at the time of the message. must have been a glitch with yahoo lol.

So we started talking online. Then we started talking online pretty much everyday. After a while we exchanged phone numbers and started talking on the phone. After a few months we decided to meet. he drove all the way to London Ontario for a long weekend. We were already very comfortable with each other from talking for so long that when we met it was like we had known each other forever.

A couple more trips to visit later and we decided I would move to PA. A year later we were married and the rest is history :D

The "first" time I met him was..

My sister and I lived together, and she wanted to have some of her friends over, so he came over with his gf at the time..We didn't really hang out since he had a GF..LOL

Then, I guess they were going threw a bad time and about to break up, so we invited him over, I bought Pizza and he brought over some drinks ( just him and I drank, as my sister don't drink )

He started to flirt with me some, but I played it cool, as I knew he still had a GF! plus my sister was there!!! So then when we went to bed, I text his cell ( I only had his # cuz my sister put it in my phone, with some of her other friends in case I needed to get a hold of her..LOL )...I text him to say thanks for the drinks, and he was doing more flirting!!...

Then about a week later he calls my sister and told her that him and his GF broke up ( I was happy!! )..haha

So after that him me and my sister kept hanging out, then one night he asked me just to come over, but my sister wouldn't let me, or she wouldn't let me use her car! well I went anyways!!

We just kept hanging out, I was not sure what we were??..lol It took a lot to go out though, as we would have to do it behind my sisters back and stuff!!..It was a big mess I hated it!!!

It was cute, I remember him coming over to make me grilled cheese and soup when I had a cold!! and we e-mailed each other EVERYDAY and talked on MSN everyday till about 11-12pm!!

Then after his b-day he finally asked me out! he just "assumed" that we were going out though!!.. ha ha.

Now we bought a house, and are going to get married in 2009! :)

Brendan and I met at Red Robin Restaurant.

serious... lol. We actually were both working there at the time. He started working there when the restaurant first opened up in Chantilly, VA and when I moved to VA and needed a job fast I got a job there. We were more of aquaintances at first and he was into another girl there who sort of became one of my friends. They broke up.

I started to like him, but didn't want to say anything. He totally wasn't my "type" so I had no clue why I liked him. A huge group of people from my work when to the renaissance fair they have in Maryland every year and he and I totally hit it off.

We started dating unofficially for a little while. We didn't tell anyone at work because technically we weren't supposed to be dating co-workers. We finally made it official and still kept quiet at work. It's amazing that we managed to date a month or so before anyone at work found out. My general manager talked to me about it and said that since we'd been dating unawares and hadn't let it affect our duties at work he would ok is as long as we continued to not let it affect our work.

So... thats how we met

Alan and I met online too! We met on Plentyoffish. He had actually messaged me earlier in the year but I ignored him (LOL) because he lived in Squamish. Squamish is an hour away and at the time, I didn't drive. Then I met my ex (THE ugly ex.. you know the type :p), broke it off with him, then gave POF one last shot. He messaged me again and I decided to reply back this time since driving wasn't a problem anymore. We talked online for a week or two, then decided to meet. It's kinda weird how it all worked out.. we had our first date on a Thursday, Friday he came home with me (I know.. bad :p). I honestly didn't want him to drive the highway back home at 1am -- It's a VERY dangerous highway. Saturday we drove up to Squamish to his place to meet his family and I spent the night there. We basically moved in with each other right away.. he works in the city so he stays here with me 6 days of the week, then we visit his family once a week in Squamish.

Anyways! I knew right away he was "the one", as did he, though no one said anything until a couple months into the relationship. We've been diamond shopping for a while and finally found the perfect ring. I totally know it's coming (and we've already discussed the wedding in detail) but we're still technically not "engaged". I hope that all made sense lol.

We meet nearly 17 years ago. We were both working and living at Pontins which is a Holiday Camp for families.

Please excuse my ignorance but I'm not sure if members living anywhere but the UK know what I mean by Holiday Camp?

If anyone has seen the comedy 'Hi De Hi' then it was an ever so slightly updated version of Maplins!
If you Google 'Pontins' 'Butlins' or 'Haven Holidays' you'll get the idea.

It wasn't a very romantic start but we are both busy planning our valantines day surprises so I guess it worked for us.

in no ways a SO...but i met my bf in a REALLY classy way. He gets so embarrassed when I tell people, but i think its hilarious, lol

at a party. drunk. he wanted me to come to his place (which I NEVER have done), but I told him that I wanted to go back to my place (and I do NOT take guys back to my place ever either, LOL)...so yeah. Drove him home the next morning cause it was so cold, and i felt bad for making him trek all the way to my place...i didnt really want to see him again, but he kept bugging me (heck,I was posting about him bugging me on chaz, LOL)...well, turns out..it was a good think I decided to see him again :D

We talked on AIM for months and were good friends. I knew he "liked me" fairly early on. It just went from there.

At a nightclub :) My 2 sisters and a friend drug me there that night, not long after I had gotten out of an abusive relationship. I really wasn't looking to meet anyone that night, but now I'm glad that I went. :)

I just got out of a long, long distance relationship (See post below this) "first love" thing of about 1 year. My best friend begged me to come out with her and a guy she met on the high way that day (she meets people so randomly lol). Any way I didnt want to but she showed up at my house. So I said F it fine, put on sweat pants and sweat shirt, looked like a 110% slob. Met this guy she met, hebrought along a friend. As we were leaving that night his friend yelled to my best friend "Hey, Your friends hot!" I though " What a freaking loser. I hope I never see him again" Well low and behold about 3 weeks later we started dating (we hung out with myf riend and his friend daily. All had "sleep overs together (No naughty thoughts lol)", almost 4 years later I see him everyday, Even though somtimes he makes me so mad I wish I wouldnt see him again. Like I said today, And I havnt seen him since I said that. i guess he went home lmao. I forgot he wasnt here. Oh well its 12:30am now to late to call him

woohoo I'm not the only one.... LOL do still get the wide eyed shocked look when you tell someone new that you met your SO on the internet? lol
I met my ex on the net, my friend and I met hima nd his bestfriend on the net. you should have seen the look we got when we actually trecked out to massachuates (SP?) for 2 weeks to visit with them 2 times and them to come down here one. really wasnt idle and neither would move to canada, and I wouldnt move to the states, so we all had to end it lol. I guess its good or I wouldnt have met my SO
