oh what I wouldn't give to have someone else come and clean my house! I too hate a job that only comes undone as soon as you have finished it---and sadly, I have been drawn to the "dark side" as I call it--I have two teenagers, and one 20 y.o., and my hubby--they are all less inclined to be "neat"--and after years of trying, I have given in and don't work as hard as I used to! Life is too short to dust the furniture all the time!

I agree with this on so many levels! I'm the same way!

Ugh, speaking of cleaning, that's what I just spent my entire day doing. My back hurts from scrubbing johns, scrubbing floors, scrubbing bathtubs, scrubbing cabinets, scrubbing the refrigerator....you get the idea. What a nice way to spend a day off.

I usually start in the kitchen, because I hate cleaning the kitchen. Absolutely despise it. Which must be some cruel cosmic joke, since I love to cook. And cooking=dirty kitchen. Yuck.

But on the upside, my house is spotless! Lovely! All that remains is a few last loads of laundry. And if hubby comes home from work and leaves his nasty work boots in the living room, I swear I'll rip his head off and devour it, ala praying mantis. :D

I start in the kitchen then move to the bathrooms, bedrooms, then make my way around the house...then back to the kitchen, bathrooms again, check bedrooms again, back around the house, kitchen, walk back into our bedroom, recheck the bathrooms.....OK, I have a little, wee, teensy tiny problem.

I'm a bit obsessive, I think I need help.:(

The funniest part is that I have 2 cleaning ladies (actually Mike hired them years ago so I would take a break....like THAT'S gonna happen:rolleyes: ) that come every second Friday and they LAUGH AT ME. Mike say's they use our house as their coffee break house.:(

I clean when I'm upset and yesterday I was really stressed over a work issue and I HAD NOTHING TO CLEAN.....so I bathed my dogs!!! hehehe:p

Cleaning isn't a problem !! It's the clutter that makes cleaning hard !! I used to do daily what I now do weekly , monthly what I did weekly and yearly what I did monthly !! I've become a slob !!

I heard Dr2 cleans her house the night before the cleaners come so they won't think she's a bad housekeeper who needs a cleaner to come.

I usually clean both bathrooms first....then dust the house.....clean the kitchen....scrub the counters...the appliances......mop the floors all at one time.....and then vacuum.

I start in Dining/Living Room..........it is the biggest room and located at the front door. I figure if I start there and then get side tracked, at least visitors will see the cleanest room :D

I agree with you Renee about the dishwasher, I can't stand doing it either..........I suppose it is better than handwashing, but grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

That my darling is my main retirement goal :lol-sign:

All I need in the nest egg is enough to pay the house taxes til I die, cover the utilities & car/insurance............the rest goes for dining out every meal POOH on the kids inheritence, they have gotten their share with college funds :D
