I always clean the bathrooms first. I figure..IF I get busy with other things, the bathrooms are good to go..first class. LOL then I move on to vacuuming, floor washing..etc. but those bathrooms ALWAYS gleam. :)

Yes the bathrooms are my almost most hated chore, the chore i hate the most is folding clothes and putting them away.

As long as I can remember, I despised recurring tasks. They always seems to be exercises in futility to me. Cleaning falls into that category. This is a conflict for me because I like a clean house but I despise cleaning to the point of being in a hugely fowl mood if I am forced to do it. That is why I pay someone else to do it. This is not a luxury for me, it's a necessity, trust me. I am ok about straightening things out in between but there is no way my house would be clean if I had to do the serious stuff. I am completely lacking that gene.

Does that mean you chicken out? :D

Whoever observed that if a job is done well the first time it need not be done again obviously was a man who never did housework - or yard work. I despise it, but I love a clean, but liveably comfortable - house, so I try to have a place for everything and remind myself to put things back when I'm finished.

I usually start with the kitchen. Dishes . . . . . :( And I don't know why, but I have always dreaded emptying the dishwasher. So silly.

I always start in the kitchen, then the bathroom...and then....well, I rarely seem to make it much further than that! (The rest of the house is pretty dusty!!!)

I always start in the kitchen... wiping down counters, unloading dishes...

Or, I start in the bedroom (since it's the easiest!) ;)

...this is because it is a boring recurring task that, no sooner than you have done it, you have to do it again.

She's a lovely Bosnian woman who cleans like dirt must Go Away Forever. She's the best gift I ever gave someone. I had a neighbor who had surgery and was laid up for a week. It only took that week for her husband and kids to turn the place into a cyclone location. So I sent my cleaning lady over to do her house instead of mine. To this day, she still thinks she owes me.
