Warning: If your dog is a nitwit, they might eat it. Not the cat droppings . . . the litter, which rather resembles very unappetizing coarse ground flour.
Because the layout of the new house is different, and larger, than the old house, Docket for the first time come into close proximity to a litter box (before the boxes were in the basement at the old house, where the dogs weren't allowed). Docket decided that the litter was tasty . .. yes, I swear I feed him.
The result was a huge Docket turd in front of the back door, when the excessive fiber upset his tummy, and two Docket puddles that resulted from him drinking vast amounts of water to make up for the super-dry wheat. And this is a dog that NEVER has accidents (except once during a thunderstorm). The vet thinks he'll be fine. We have switched to litter that is inedible by any standard and he is not eating it, though he keeps checking, apparently hoping that we'll bring the wheat back.
But just so you know . . . at least one dog thinks "Swheat" litter is food.
