What's your favorite way to spend a cold day?

It is cold here! It fell to the teens last night, and right now the temp is hovering around 25 degrees. I know that's not as cold as many of my nothern friends, but think of it this way: a few days ago, it was 87 degrees over here! Talk about a huge temp drop!

My husband, Zeus and the kitties are huddled together on the couch under a fluffy blankie. I have a pot of homemade asian chicken and rice soup bubbling on the stove. I'm a restless person and can't stand to sit still for too long, so I'm going to make some chocolate chip cookies. Mmmmm....yum.

How does everyone else make the best of a very cold day?

I put on my snow pants, my toque, my fleecy hockey scarf (lol), sweater, and winter jacket and take the dog out to run in the snow After that I come home and TEddy gets on the love seat and I cuddle up on the big couch with my Montreal Canadians fluffly blanket

Since we get a lot of cold weather here during the winter, I'm used to it. If it's not too cold I walk the girls and when we get back I make a big mug of hot chocolate, put on really comfy clothes, curl up on the couch and read a book or watch TV (or a movie). And cuddle my girlies.

When it gets bone chilling cold here the fireplace, my big warm fuzzy blanky and a good movie or a book and kicked back on my recliner

if it's bitter cold, I just stay in my jammies....park myself in front of the fire. at the magical 'legal' time of day, I have a toddy. soup is a must! (and if it's a weekend...Dave gets stuck walking the dogs!!!) right now Dave and the dogs are on the bed under a blanket watching the Daytona 500. I'm on a toddy mission and just happened to stop here.

I like to spend a cold day, like today here, under my blankets, drinking hot chocolate, watching a good movie, eating soup, and just relaxing with music.

Its 20 ish and we are about to go down to my frineds and get in the hot tub. Not sure why though cuz it gives me a headache when tis cold but it is nice and steamy and pretty

Joce that sounds like a plan. I want to get a hot tub so badly, almost got one this christmas but hubby and I decided to get intellebeds instead. But hoping for one this summer. They are great in the winter time-so nice and relaxing

Sit under my Indiana Univ. fleece blanket.
Have a nice fire in the fireplace.
sip a glass of wine.
Read a good book. I'm reading Marley & Me now and I love it.
Had potato soup for dinner.
Watch a good movie later on tonight.

Only problem is the dogs love the cold weather and have been standing at the patio door all day wanting to go out. I hate to keep getting up and leaving my book and fire to let them out. By Wednesday it will be warm again and we can go to the park.
