What's wrong with the system !!??

Yes, its a sad sad thing, the system does not do much to help us now. It is just like sex predetors being released on parole after a couple of years in prison. I don't understand why people think "oh well, he was in jail, he won't ever do it again" it is not true. That man that killed the little girl Jessica had sexually assulted girls before, the system did not learn and let him back out on the streets. If they do it once, they will do it again. My unlce and godfather (by marrige) was just recently convicted of rape on a 13 year old relative. He was sentanced to 32 years, but in about 15 he will be eligible for parole. He had raped another 14 year old years back, and another woman 19 years old after that. The 14 year old had one of his children. My family is greatly embarrassed by this, but as my father says "you can pick your nose, you can pick your friends... but you can't pick your family." He is a world known tejano singer, and because of this his attorney urged them to let him go because people loved him and they already know he is a sex offender. Pffttt. If they do it once they will do it again.

Its a sick world I agree! That man is a very bad man the system is messed up certainly. For some reason lately I have been doing alot of thinking.
One thing I have been thinking about is this...
You hear about all the bad in the world all the time, how often do you hear about the good? Look at the news, how often do they do stories on the good people do? Not very often. The bad is more interesting to most people cause it stirs up alot of feelings while the good is often un noticed.

I'm a crime freak and follow alot of cases quite closely. I am DUMBFOUNDED by the number of crimes commited every day in this world and can't understand if they've alway been there and are just now getting reported more or if there are just MORE. I think there are just MORE. Sick genes spawning more sick genes and so it goes. This world is beginning to sicken me and I'm SO GLAD I don't have children!!!! Keeping my animals safe is enough!!!

I did appreciate that here on Halloween ... all registered sex offenders ( except those who were at work ) were rounded up and taken to a building until after trick or treat hours . EliN , I wonder where you get it from !! Back to the original , I weep so for the girl's family !!! Seems they left work ( a restaurant ) at the same time , but not together. He had car trouble on the road and she stopped to see if she could help him . He said " Something just came over me " ...........he choked her , then stabbed her . He had been up for parole 3 times before , but turned down because of the outrage of the 5 yr olds family . They are devastated ! To me this is so cut and dried ( he admitted to everything ) .... it should be immediate death sentence .... period !!! After 25 years in prison , obviously he's been through the system , mental health wise . I do feel so sorry for the many who were falsely accused and committed and now released on DNA evidence . So many lost years !! I hope every case from her on involves DNA .
