to handle dogs on their walks regarding interaction with other dogs? My crew are all puppies.. under a year old and are HIGHLY excitable. I walk them all together a few times a day as well as separately for individual training. They pull like maniacs though when they're all together towards other dogs barking their little heads off! I usually stop in my tracks.. say no bark, or quiet and wait for the other dogs to pass... but then people stop and let their dogs approach and I'm never sure what to do! I mean I have three dogs to handle and watch and that makes it difficult for play time w/the other neighborhood dogs while I'm out trying to give them exercise and to walk politely on the leash.

When I'm out w/one at a time.. it's less difficult because I can relax the leash a bit and allow them to get w/in a safe distance to meet.. but w/all 3 it's nearly impossible.

I'm rambling here, LOL but my dogs just emberassed the heck out of me!! I had JUST opened the door and there was another dog passing by and they were so excitable and raring to go, that they just barked like crazy dogs and no amount of sit/stays were helping.. *sigh*

Duke has leash aggression so needless to say there is no interaction with dogs while on leash. He is to do a sit stay while another dog passes and isnt releashed until the dog has gone on its way. When he was younger and didnt have the leash agression. He developed it when he was around 8 or so months. But before he could interact with any dog he had to be patient and wait for the dog to come to him. He would just lay down and wait until the dog came over and sniffed him then he would get up and play.
