Obviously this applies to people who regularily crate their dogs. :p Just a question of curiousity!

Finn's is pretty basic - a crate pad, a few dollar store fleece blankets for him to crumple into makeshift pillows, and usually a Kong or two. He has a Nylabone that I leave in there with him while I work, and take out overnight.

What about you?

Just her crate pad, but we don't normally crate her anymore now that she's older and quite trustworthy. It's there and open if she wants to go in. If we need to secure her for something (like a workman or bringing in groceries, etc) we just say, "go in the box" and we shut the door. If we are going crate her for an extended period for whatever reason, we will toss a toy in with her and also her fuzzy blanket that she sucks (not chews) on.

Blaze has a wire fold-up crate. Right now the only thing in his crate are two blankets. He's not in it that much, he's graduated to being able to have free roam of my room if I'm gone. If I do put him in the crate, it's usually because I was him to calm down and/or sleep.

Phoebe doesn't have a crate, never has, so this only applies to Orson, LOL

He has two blankies and his favorite pillow (which was a regular bed pillow until he claimed it) He won't eat in his crate, he "buries" treats or food under the blankets if given to him in there, so that's pointless.........same with toys. (he's weird like that)

I will add that he normally only spends about 3 hours a week in it on average, so comfort items aren't a real necessity where his crate is concerned.

Her crate pad and a towel. She gets a few treats when she goes into her crate before we leave, but no chewies or toys in there with her as I don't want her chewing up/swallowing anything she shouldn't (and I'm paranoid like that).

Oh, and if we'll be gone longer than a few hours, I have a smallish square bowl that I tuck into the corner of her crate with water.

Blanket, crate pad, and her itty bitty blanket the breeder sent home with us. If she's crated during the day (rare) I'll toss a toy in with her.

I have two crates set up in my room... one is a large soft sided crate that no longer zippers thanks to Chloes little teeth but they like to go in it and sleep during the day so I leave it set up, it has a fleece bed and a blanket in it usually, they also take various toys in with them.

Then Chloe has her crate that she goes in when I am not home... it has a fleece blanket, I usually try and throw some kind of toy in there with her and it has one of those water bowls attached to the door so she always has access to water.

Just a few retired baby blankets. He has a snuggle bag that his breeder made for him in there as well. Its like a sleeping bag for dogs who like to burrow.

He doesnt get any bones, because I havent found one that he likes. I give him one of those green treats that are for their teeth and he loves those, but they dont last long. 5 minutes tops. lol.

Kes is only in his crate during the day - since he still occasionally noms blankets when he's bored he doesn't have a bed of any sort, but at least one nylabone and a treat dispensing toy are left in there for him to play with. When he was still crated at night he could have his crate mat left inside, so he's now tethered at night on the same pad, just sans crate.

Ziva's rarely crated but her crate is open to her during the day - it currently has a thick cotton crate pad, a fleece pad, and a nylabone inside.

A pillow, a VERY large loofa dog (it is the entire length of the crate), a big green stuffed puppy, a ropey-bone thing with a chewy on it that is really hard to help clean teeth (forget where it's from), a ball that is made of twisty ropes, and his Kong.
Auggie is one of those dogs that likes to put his head up on things like a pillow sometimes so he often rearranges his crate to move the puppy or loofa dog around so he can rest his head on it. It's actually really funny to watch him pick something up, move it around, shuffle around in the crate, then lay back down.

A treaty on subatomic particle exposition, a special ring that imparts gravity-defying abilities to it's wearer and a worm hole to another dimension.

He doesn't have a crate, so who's to say I'm wrong? HMMM?! Ponder that.

Finn does that too! That's why I added the dollar-store blankets. When I'd put him in for the night, he's shuffleshuffle, scratchscratch, crumple his crate pad in one corner of the crate and plop his head down on it.

we don't crate our little guy anymore because he behaves when he's home alone and is pretty chill and love to sleep on our giant beanbag, lol.

When we did crate him, he had a blanket, and some toys in there. to stay warm and have something to chew on/play with :)

Dance has an "indestructible" crate pad, as she likes tearing blankets up and so far this one has stood up to her. She also has a Nylabone in there.

Ripley has a towel and a couple of bed sheets in his, as well as a large black Kong that I stuff before I leave, and a couple of Nylabones.

Keira has a few bed sheets and a comforter in hers, as well as a Nylabone.

Abby is never crated anymore.

Misty has a bed and a Nylabone in her crate, but she's only ever crated at night. During the day if I need to go out I'll sometimes lock the girls in our TV room with a baby gate, but if I see Misty poop outside before I leave I give them run of the house. If she poops outside before I go the worst I come back to is finding my flip flops or slippers on the stairs (she doesn't chew on them, just puts them on the stairs).

We can't even keep a crate pad in the crate for Penny since she has chewed her last two. Hopefully when she gets a little older we can start putting a bed in there for her.
