As most of you know I have had alot of struggle finding stable employment lately. Well a friend of mine called to say that he will be out of work as of Friday of this week. He worked for a small trucking company and they are shutting their doors. His brother who works at the hatchery was laid off last week - and the processing plant is not hiring me because someone simply doesnt like me at all - and I had absolutely no beef with them until now. After all of the talk and BS that corporate gave me I really dont want to go back to that company - so Im back at suqare 1 without a plan B.

This morning another two factories were laying off a total of 800 workers this week as well. Simply put the jobs are closing down due to a poor economy - and there not enough jobs to go around. With the state having a $800 billion surplus - I am contacting my reps and asking them to have the money put aside for people who cannot find work and use that money to create jobs here in the state. I have seriously considered doing dog training full-time, and take a giant leap of faith in to the unforseen. With my hole-y job history, no one is going to take a chance on me, when thats all I need a chance to prove that I am very willing to work and perform - so I may end up having to find a way to work for myself.

yup and my friend bought a new truck back in July - he cant afford the payments now so he will likely sell it after Christmas - he is not even happy about it one bit - he was very proud of that truck. Plus this years Christmas is not a good one for me. Thankfully Maddie has grandparents that are able to give her some gifts, otherwise she wouldnt be getting anything.

yes it does happen right here in America and even with all the food/toy drives the government isnt addressing the issue. Ive been drug down as low as I can go, I have no where to go but up. By that I mean I got a divorce, lost my house, moved back in with my parents - thought I could make more money as an EMT - that didnt pan out as I had hoped and in the last two years Ive held 4 positions, each time they have laid me off with the exception of the Temps services where they have no current jobs available. Around here cash is a luxury. I have not bought one thing for myself in probably 3 years.

I would love to run for a public office and to push for improvement in the area, not regression. But I have no education or credentials to speak of other than 3 years of bad luck and hard times.

Another 180 jobs lost - on the news this morning. Things are not looking good right now.

I have a feeling the welfare system is going to be sucked dry before too long. There are simply not enough jobs to go around for everyone needing work. :(

That's awful so many jobs are being cut. Have you tried the temp agencies? They usually have good jobs and some are even temp to hire. Where are you located at? Minnesota has a huge surplus also.
