Randomly wondering what everybody's having for dinner tonight.

I have a hearty beef soup in the crock pot right now. I tend to go a bit crazy when making soups, and throw in 50 bazillion ingredients.

This soup has beef, roasted beef bones for flavor, carrots, celery, onion, shitaki mushrooms, baby portabella mushrooms, white button mushrooms, wild rice, lentils, brown rice, barley, and a bit of white rice to mellow out the "earthiness" of some of the other ingredients.

Gawd, I'm sooo hungry. My house smells incredible. I wish it would hurry up and finish!

Tonight, probably homemade pot pies, some with chicken and some with just veggies, and a crust made from scratch.

I, as usual, am not cooking. :D

Well, since I have to run to the store to pick up a few parts to fix the toilet (the arm is rusted and it broke this morning) I may see if I can score a slab of red meat that isn't too expensive . . . warm it up a little past body temp . . . since tomorrow is Monday and I fast.

I'm on the road, so I can guarantee it's "out to eat". Haven't decided yet.

The rest of the family had prime rib and a bunch of side dishes--we had our Christmas today, lol.

I, on the other hand, filled up on apple pie and candy. :D

Last night I had roasted pork, yams, green beans, salad, and chocolate cake.

But that was because I was at my neighbors' house. :D

Tonight I'm having cookies and rootbeer to make up for all the healthyness. (It really was amazing, though... Ray could be a professional chef.)
