I see you have plenty of advice on how to handle it, LOL, I just wanted to say that I don't find it "PIDDLY" at all! You vet your dogs, you feed them well, you CARE about their health.........you don't know if she does or not. Feces is a good way to spread unwanted things to your own dog, costing you money, time, and unnecessary suffering to the dog.

Not piddly at all IMO..........not at all.

OH that would drive me nuts.

I would wait for the next time she comes by your house... leave the poop there and run out with a bag and say "Oh here this bag is to pick up your dogs poop right there on my lawn since you forgot your bag" and then smile at her :D

Its not piddly, it is down right annoying. As a homeowner it is your right to have a nice looking, poop FREE yard. You could always do what I did to cure our neighbor of letting their dogs poop in my yard. I would go out and scoop it up with the shovel and then walk over and fling it into their yard. The last time it happened it was two doors down and she asked what I was doing. I told her she, well rather her dog had left something of theirs in my yard. So I was returning it. I also told her if she wished she could call the cops because I had it all on tape. She declined and I haven't found itty bitty(compaired to my boys) pooh in my yard from her dog.

First time it happens, I would ask her to clean it up. Maybe even offer a bag if she said something about not having one.

Second time, I would tell 'Please pick up your dog's mess. This is my property and I don't want your dog's poo on it." And, I wouldn't say it in such a nice, asking way. I'd say it in a 'do this now' type voice.

Third time, if it's really breaking a law, I'd call AC.

Depending on my mood (and her attitude) I might be polite about it, or I might chuck a turd at her. After I threw the poop at her I would do a pas auf just so she can sh!t her pants to match the lovely turd on her back. :p :D

Id take the dog and Throw it at her door.. It should stick pretty good.. If you see her doing it again hand her a bag.. Id also let your dog give her a "nice" warning :) .. as you can probably tell I have ZERO tolerance for this kinda thing!
its not the dogs fault, :rofl1:

My parents have the same problem at their house but they dont know who is doing it, it is rather annoying that people have no manners anymore.

Great advice from everyone. I would speak to her once, in a polite and civil manner, and tell her we could this the easy way or the hard way, balls in her court. If she continued.... I would collect the evidence by photo/video and the actual evidence...........but I would deliever it to her home when she had company and have a polite chat with her with her guests there (assuming she has company/dinner parties etc). And I would also request your neighbors to also get photos of when it happens on her property. Thanksgiving is coming up right??

NO NO NO!!! you don't interrupt the dinner party...

you simply leave it ALL over her front stoop... this way when it's dark and they're leaving(prob slightly tipsy) they don't notice it's there until it's too late!!! :lol-sign:

It's an aggressive lunge to the end of the lead with a lot of noise. He'll be sitting calmly, I whisper that, and it's game on. She'd probably have more crap to clean up if I did that. :)

As far as the note stuff goes, I'm actually not sure if she can read. At least on the level to comprehend "clean up after your dog".
hahahaha...more crap...hahahaha!:D

Oh yes then! Let the games begin! I love those aggressive lunges. They can be very impressive. My Doberman did that when he saw another dog. I didn't even have to whisper the command. :rofl1:

This isn't a dinner party type of person. They are renters in a tiny house down the side street from my house. That house typically has 2-3 renters in a year- fast turnover. I don't think she works- I don't want to make assumptions but my guess is she's probably one of those "I'm on disability" people who work the system, considering the time of day she comes by and the fact that she has one of those canes with the 4 prongs on the end that she doesn't really use to walk.

Good thing- didn't see her all day yesterday or today so far. Maybe she's walking in the other direction. Not the real solution but if she stays away from my house I don't care.

I can never find poop bags around here. I don't pick up after my dogs however if they get ready to go I normally lead them out in the road providing it isn't busy. I guess I never really thought about it. Never heard anyone complain. Now are you gunna send me some bags? LMAO!:rofl1:

ziploc baggies work, as do old plastic shopping bags, small garbage bags, etc.

There is no reason not to pick up after your dog, there are plenty of alternatives.

Your probably not around when someone steps in it, or you would hear the complaints Im sure.

how about videotape her again (just in case she continues to do it and you have proof later on before confronting her), then tell her to pick it up, and give her a bag/papertowel (because she probably doesn't have one).

hehe..good luck and hope she starts picking it up!

I live in the middle of BFE (out in the middle of no where anotherwards) in a small town with a mom and pops store and a post office. That's it. There's no sidewalks, I walk on the road an normally they poop in the road. I'm not that worried about it. We don't save grocery bags and I use the ziplocs for homemade baby food. No one else cleans up after their dogs here either. You want me to clean up after them even though no one seems to mind, provide the bags and I will.

In some places its not a big deal. Like where my dad lives no one does we dont really live in neighborhoods or any of that. Once you get out of the city and suburbs cleaning up after your dog is pretty rare.

good excuses to be irresponsible. I imagine it's a great little town with everyone's dog crap all over the streets. Just because no one else does it doesn't mean you can't. Start saving the grocery bags. It's not like they take a lot of room. Wash out the ziplocks after you are done with them and use those. There really is no excuse to not clean up after your dog unless you are just lazy and don't care.
