I am meeting up with some friends inb about an hour to celebrate them getting engaged. But until then I am just hanging out in tulsa. So I parked way in the back of the parking lot of the dollartheater to mess with my phone.

This HUGE guy starts walking toward my car! My window is all the way down and he started jogging over!!!

Well turns out he had his little son had to be about 6 or 7. Said they hadn't had anything to eat and him and his family were begging for money in the parking lot. This isn't a great place for a little kid, crime has been through the roof lately.

Also what if I had freaked out and had a gun??? I am a single, alone, female about 5'1 is running towrd me in a dark area where I am by myself smart??

I know times are bad but don't put yourself or your kids in danger for someone who might not help.

very sad that he felt compelled to do that with a child in tow... things must be very bad... he obviously was not using his brain, but imagine having a starving child... he is probably going on emotion only... I doubt he meant to scare you.

I probably would have driven off before he got close, so i dont blame you for being scared.

Kids are being used in crimes . It's so sad !!! Always lock doors and never lower windows enough for an arm to come through when parked . I'm afraid it's going to be worse as people get more desperate ! I once passed $5. through my window , but I can't do that anymore !

I feel like this is a good point. It's possible in this scenario this man really thought he was doing what was somehow best for his family :/ Maybe he thought you looked like a person who could help? Some people are definitely more approachable than others, at face value.

At least the situation didn't go according to the way you thought it would!
