My 3 pound Chihuahua just got into the trash and chewed off the ends of a chicken drumstick bone, all except a small portion of the middle. I can't find any websites that tells me what I should do after it happens (only one I found that says to feed her lots of food and cooked rice to "cushion" the pieces of bone so that it digests easier), so I am wondering is there anything else I can do.. I am really panicking right now because I can't find any info! Help, please!!!

Cooked chicken bones are dangerous...I would take her to the vet. Athena ate a box of colored pencils when she was about 9 months. The vet gave me a Cat laxative that came in a jell/paste form. It coated her stomach and everything passed out great.

How is she acting?

Sweet Pea's actually acting her normal self this morning, I gave her a big bowl of rice last night, one source that I found says that I should overfeed her for the next couple of days and feed her rice to "cushion" the pieces of bone.... I've also been feeling on her abdomen for any tenderness, but she seems fine as of now... this happened almost 12 hours ago.

I would say that she probably gnawed the ends , considering her size . If you didn't see any splintering , I wouldn't worry .

I would just watch her carefully. If you notice anything off about her, take her on in. Keep an eye out for vomiting, constipation, & lethargy. You might notice some diarrhea due to the diet change.

On the upside, I've had many a dog go trash digging after a night of fried chicken only to find out that the guilty dog ate every last piece of chicken...bones & all. And we've never had a problem.
