What should I do for the background?

    Have them atop a mountain (like standing on a rock) with trees and wilderness behind him?

    Oh!! You should add a little Mia wolf and have them all be hunting ducks. LOL

    You could set them in Texas Canyon, that place is gorgeous with awesome textures.

    That would be cool! also..a later evening to night background would be nice..

    so far I really like it, you drew them very well. I look forward to seeing the final result! :)

    Don't know how much of a background you need...you could just leave that pretty abstraact..or use a lighting tech of shadow to indicated space. Lots of different ways you could go. I think you should just let it speak to you.
