So, I know this is my first post here (kind of) and I thought I'd start a fun thread that reverses the "what kind of breed fits me" concept and asks what kind of owner would fit best with a breed?

IE- some dogs are very active and need a very active owner. Some dogs are very low drive and energy and would be exhausted trying to keep up with an active family.

So, I'm going to pretend I'm a Cardigan Welsh Corgi looking for an owner (cause that's what I have and I know them well) and we can go from there!

WANTED: CRAZY OWNER FOR CRAZY CARDI!

I'm a high drive Cardigan and I need a high drive owner! I may have short legs, but those don't stop me from getting into trouble when I'm not kept busy enough!!

Don't like a ball dropped in your lap every five seconds? Don't like a dog that's smart enough to open cabinets? Can't stand a land shark when it comes to food? Yeah, I'm probably not the dog for you!

My ideal owner will have a sense of adventure and a sense of HUMOR!

While sports like jogging and biking may be a bit too much for me, I need a person who will committ to keeping my brain entertained, mamma! That's right! Agility? Herding? I'm your girl.

Obedience and Rally-O are too slow paced for me and I get bored.

Anyone interested in flyball???

Also, MUST NOT CARE ABOUT HAIR because I shed like a Mofo! It will be EVERYWHERE and you'll be amazed that one dog can shed so darn much! But, I do!!

I'm great with other dogs but only if they're other corgis! But, the good thing is that once you have one Cardigan, more will likely follow!

I'm a Boxer.

I need an owner who is active, but wants to have fun! NO SERIOUS OWNERS PLEASE. I'm a goofball.

I need someone who understands that I can be destructive, stubborn, and driveless. If you are looking for a dog that does something just because they love, you keep looking. I also snuggle on my terms.

I really like running. Like, really like it. Zoomies are fun as well. I really like hiking. Swimming should not be something you look for in my breed. A lot of us cannot swim, and would rather just stay on land or wade.

I'll be a Papillon!

I need an owner who knows I'm not the "average" little dog. I need an owner who is well aware that I require a fair amount of exercise, both mentally and physically... sometimes I'm a little crazy. An owner who will also accept the fact that I'm a social butterfly and to not get offended when I decide a stranger is more deserving of my kisses.

I'd also prefer an owner who will get me out and about, because as I clarified above, I love people! They also must love big ears and not insist that I look like a rat when I'm wet. A good sense of humour is also a necessity if they want to be able to handle all of my antics. I also would excel in dog sports, so if that's a possibility, I think I'd enjoy it.

I'm a Border Collie, and I'm looking for my ideal human. Preferred ages 16-75, no specific size as long as they can throw a ball and/or frisbee.

-Not too serious. I need an owner who will laugh when I steal entire loaves of bread from on top of the fridge.

-Playful
-Neurotic (to match me!)
-Dedicated (I need lots of attention!)
-Meek (I want to feel "in charge" in my own house)
-Easily manipulated (little to no self control when it comes to me, please!)
-A hugger/cuddler
-Large bed
-No shedding (I do enough of that myself thanks)
-Adventurous (lots of walks in new places, new smells, new dogs.... OMG!!!)
-Patience (I tend to get overly excited and forget how to use my brain)
-Compassion/Forgiveness (I do a LOT of bad things, be prepared for that and go easy on me)
-Not too clean (I am really, really fascinated by deer/cow/sheep/goat/chicken poop, and would hate it if my owner was deeply offended by the smell)
-Highly egotistical (Someone who will brag about my every accomplishment and brilliant behavior)

Honestly, I have tried to think of this and it's too hard. Mia needs a totally different type of owner than Rose. Rose would fit into about any household without much of a peep. She is so good, even tempered, and non-demanding. Mia would come roaring in and drive most people bonkers.

I think I've almost had/known too many papillons to try to generalize them anymore.

I'm a Squash, and I need an owner with a sense of humor and a lot of patience for shenanigans.

That is all.
