Summer is high energy to the max, really. She's a different kind of energy than the others- very intense and focused all the time. She will not play, which makes exercising pretty complicated sometimes. She has a good off switch, though most the time and can lounge, provided she has had a good workout earlier. With her you must take breaks throughout the day all day to give her small little sessions. With her it's not only about wearing her down physically but also mentally. Everything we do is a training session. The only time she really gets on the nerves is if it's raining or really hot and she hasn't been able to run. Then the rest of the day she sleeps and seems really lazy. :lol-sign:

Rose and Beau are fine provided they get some play time. Trey is pretty lazy now but he's 12. Hiro is nocturnal and becomes this wild man in the middle of the night and terrorizes everyone with his energy!

Keira has more energy than any other dog I've ever had. It's hard to tire her out too, as she doesn't bring toys back, so it's not like I can throw a ball for her a billion times like I can with Dance. She needs to be taken for a good hour or so run every day, and even then, she comes home and does laps around the yard and plays with the other dogs. I also do a lot of little training sessions with her throughout the day as well.

Dance is medium-high energy. Once she gets out for some exercise, she's non-stop for a good hour usually, but she is very content just to lay around doing absolutely nothing until I say it's time to go.

Winston is low-medium energy now. He doesn't care whether his day consists of sleeping or whether he gets a good run in. He's happy when he gets to go for his run, but it's definitely not a requirement.

as i have a wide range of dogs, i'll tell ya....

Popper - can go go go go go. I know he's not at "peak" when he lays down, but if you start doing something again or moving he'll zoom up with you like he never gets any exercise. The biggest problem with him is he gets bored really easily so he'll wander off or get snippy. boing boing boing boing!

Roofus - yeah I don't think I've ever seen Roofus tired LOL. He never refuses to play or walk, but after a really vigorous session he'll stretch out, pant heavily, and his tongue lolls onto the floor. I know when he's getting there because he won't bring his frisbee back anymore.

Merlin - he's a corgi. 'nuff said. High energy all the time!

Blossom - low energy. She used to be more of a medium energy dog, but, well, she's getting old. :) I don't walk her with the boys anymore, though she'd probably do okay...

Murphy - walking from the sofa to her dog bed is the puppy equivalent of a mile walk for her.

Raja is extremely energetic. She loves to run, and I have to let her get her zoomies out every day. If I don't, she will run circles full-blast around my living room forever. Heaven forbid something should get in her way, whether it be a stack of papers or a cat. She'll run right over it with not even a backwards glance. Outside, I take her to an empty stretch of road near my house and let her off-leash. She runs from one end of the road to the other, back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. This is all in addition to our daily jogging session and several mile-long walks spread out through the day. And get her near anything deeper than a puddle, and she will play and/or swim in it all day long. The dog doesn't know the meaning of the word "tired."

Just a note... my dogs are all very high energy. But they all chill in the house, even if its a rainy day.

You want to teach Summer this?

Oddly enough though today she's been indoors and asleep all day. Dunno what's gotten into her.

Ask Jess how much energy Corvus has.

Hannah, thank God, is laid back. If both dogs were wide open, I'd pull my hair out.

Do I need to describe Ruby's energy level?????

One word to describe: "Sibe"

Allie will get her zoomies out pretty easily, but she's a Lab, so she is always more than ready to play lapdog and take a nap.

Noodle has a LOT of zoomies. More than I think she probably does. She's tricky though, she'd rather take a nap than chase my around. Get out the laser pointer, and she's good for about an hour and still ready for more. It must be the man shoulders.

Pit's energy is minimal. As I've said before, I can outwalk him during a hike and that's saying a lot considering my sedentary lifestyle!

The only time he has endless energy is if he's playing in a river. There's no off switch then.. Everywhere else, he'll stop to rest after about 15 minutes of play and be more than ready to go home. I'm almost certain there would be no protest if I decided not to walk him for two weeks straight so long as I kept his brain happy with training sessions throughout the day.

Boo would probably be called low/medium energy. She's the type of dog that is content to laze around while you do, but as soon as you're ready to go, she's ready too. She loves to get out, it's clear, but she doesn't pester you to take her out. She will stick with you throughout the duration of your hike/walk/jog without tiring too much (though we haven't done much running with her, so I can't say about that) but as soon as you're ready to quit, she'll mellow down too.

She doesn't fetch, but if you get her excited she'll run in zoomies/happy circles around the yard for a lap or two and then lay down for a belly rub.

bah lazy. lol. Actually he's pretty good, he conserves his energy so if I want him to go I have to participate.

Offleash he will run around for a while then rest (he's also pretty unfit atm) but if I start wandering off he's happy to keep going with me.

He can go non stop for as long as I ask him to but he'll stop when he can to keep his energy

Chochi loves to take walks and would rather walk than stay inside, but I put him at medium energy.

oakley is a nutcase too.

I have only seen him get semi-pooped after a looong bike ride. def had to slow down towards the end...but he still then was able to bolt up the driveway at the end.

He will lay around all day, and sleep in, etc...but the second you make any move that implies that you may possibly be taking him for a walk/let him out/ he JUMPS up and is ready to go.

Samm doesn't really have a high energy level.

Unless she's REALLY excited, playing, or you just got home..she's actually pretty calm. She's always been like this, even when she was a puppy. Weirdo :p lol
