As soon as we quit our jobs and open a dog sport facility. Then I will have a pack of dogs. I have no idea of the timeframe of THAT dream :p

I really like having 2 dogs, so I'm hoping we won't have too much overlap at 3 dogs. Ideally I want Kili a little more settled, focused, and consistent in agility (in Masters would be great) and Summit would be 12 or so.

We'll see how it works out though because a lot of it hinges on when my breeder breeds a certain dog.

Hopefully this upcoming summer, but if that doesn't work out, I may have to end up waiting until like year 2020. :(

I flip flop a lot on wanting a second dog. Most days I am content with just Smiley, but other days I really want a dog that will play fetch with me, go swimming at the beach, and run around with reckless abandon. Smiley is just too reserved and self controlled in public, which is great most of the time, but I love having a dog that grabs life by the horns and is a little bit doofy.

I really want to get myself a puppy for my 30th birthday, but that's four years away. I definitely will not get a second dog before my parents' dog passes away. They dogsit for me, and are more than happy to, but they would struggle watching more than 2 dogs.

So, I guess my timeline would be in about 4 years.

NextDog will be the SO's and we'll be adding that dog as soon as the moving is settled enough for him to be comfortable adding another dog.

My next dog will prob be next year. And then I think we're done for a while.... With the exception of possibly fostering.

Probably 3ish years.

Cynder will be 12ish. Abrams will be 5ish. With any luck, two legged little one will be 2ish. Michael will be out of the navy, we'll be moving back home and starting new jobs. Once we're settled...I'm hoping it will be time for another dog!

As soon as humanly possible?

Like, preferably someone could delivery me a healthy, stable, moderately drivey puppy today. To my door. That's soon enough.

I am a "one dog at a time" kinda gal.
So since Merlin is going to live forever, most likely not for a long long while.

perhaps there will be no next dog. Who knows!

Hopefully 2-3 years but that might be a generous estimate. If our move goes smoothly and having two kids goes smoothly, maybe a tiny bit sooner (1.5-2years)

In under a month.

Yes.

Soon. so soon.

I'm actually even talking to an adoption counselor at this GSD and similar breeds rescue right now, but I am waiting tentatively for her reply on adopting this Dutch Shep. http://www.sheprescue.org/Lola von Lucka.html

I'm moving into an apartment on my own, but I'm looking for a flyball prospect. Nosework would also be amazing. Agility would ALSO be amazing. WE MUST DO EVERYTHING THAT A DUTCH SHEP WOULD LOVE DOING. I also want to title this dog.

Lancer and Rara can't come with me, because... my parents are too attached to them, and we all agreed that they won't let them go. Mom is attached to Rara and dad is attached to Lancer. 3_3

But if this Dutchie adoption doesn't go through, I'll be actively looking for a lovely Malinois or Dutch breeder out there or in southern California.... somewhere.... out there. And then kidnap all their dogs and fly to some pretty place in Europe to hide out, obviously. I am very excited, despite my excessive use of periods.

I hope she works out she's beautiful! You also should consider dock diving.. a lot of Dutch Shepherds love it and a Dutch Shepherd won the contest at the dock dogs event I went to here in 2013. :)

Ideally before the dead of winter. I'll hopefully be in my townhouse next month and with it being just me and Juno I'd like to just bite the bullet.

Now that my mom got a puppy (and I live at home), probably not until I move out. She's already basically become my dog and I really don't have a desire to add another puppy into the mix at the moment... plus I want the puppy to adhere to 'my' rules and it's hard being with my parents and 7 year old sister who have different ideas about raising dogs than me. lol

Plus we've gotten super lucky that Jackson and Lola get along so well. It's actually going to be hard when the day comes that I do move out honestly, because they're both pretty close. I think that Jackson would be okay without her, just probably a lot more bored, but when I leave and take Jackson with me to my dads and stay for a while, Lola gets super lonely/bored without me my mom says.

But as much as I love Lola she's not 'my' type of dog or dog that I would've chosen for myself so I definitely want 'my own' second dog one of these days. But for now she fills the spot pretty nicely. :p

Hopefully many years off, 2 was enough but we have three and they are 5, 8 and 10 this year so probably 5+ years at least before we are looking to add another dog.

I am strongly tempted by a specific litter ready to go at the end of July, but I will more than likely wait until next summer or later.

About two years from now, hopefully a certain breeding will take place that I want in on.

Another male, conformation and weight pull prospect. Rhys will be four, Henry will be almost ten, and baby on the way will be nearly two. I do think that three will be our limit, so I'm putting a lot of high expectations on number three.
