Formentino. My favorite color in dogs, ever.

A formentino Cane Corso (its only called formentino in the corsi breed, I think)

I'm fond of black in labs, of brindle in many breeds, and I'm fond of pretty much any color in filas :p.

Merle with white markings. I adore mismarks in a breed, too. Split faces, a blue eye, etc.

Oh gosh! That's a hard one. For me, it really depends on the breed. I really love blue for a lot of dogs, like my little Jose`. I like also, black and white splotches for Chihuahuas or mocha. For Poodles, white, black, silver. Chocolate for Labs, black for Dobermans, harlequin for Great Danes or maybe the brindle. LOL. I just couldn't name one single favorite color. I guess I shouldn't vote. *cries* :(

In boxers, brindle.

But if merleing occurs in the breed, then I'm all for that. It's just so.... awesome looking.

I like options and variety in a breed... I'm more a markings type girl rather than color.
I'm more of a markings person as well. I like Millie's black and white, but I like it especially because of her spotted paw, not just because of her colors.

I know this sounds stupid, but I'm not exactly sure what color Lucy is. She looks fawn (or red fawn?) and white from a distance, but she also has bluish-black/gray ticking in her coat and a darker widow's peak of sorts on her head.

It also depends on the breed. In chis I love:

Tri

I love this deep red and white with a blaze

Sable, though it varies

I love red tri in aussies.

And bi black in shelties

I love any color in BCs, especially red and white and black and white. As for markings I love split faces, blue eyes, (especially just one blue eye). And I prefer rough coats, though I know that's not a color question. :p

I could go on and on, really, so I'll stop.

Lucy kind of looks like a liver sable to me (I'm not sure if that's what it's called in chis but that's what it's called in paps)

I love brown dogs. Especially a rich, deep, chocolatey brown (like Ripley). I've always had a thing for brown dogs. If a dog/breed comes in different colours, and one of those colours is a shade of brown, then I'll always opt for the brown as my preference (whether or not it's actually called brown -- could be liver or red or chocolate depending on the breed). For example, I like: liver Dalmatians, liver Flat-Coats, red Dobermans, red Border Collies, etc.
Me too!

I'm also a big fan of brindles.....

In Dalmatians-Liver,
Dobermans-red
Chis, border collies, labs-chocolate
Aussies-red, red merle (but merles are that funny color that depending on how the spotting falls can be pretty or ugly.)
Anyone seeing a pattern here. LOL

As far as markings I am a huge fan of the "odd" markings or mismarks. The louder, flasher and bolder the markings the better for me. Guess I got the right breed for loud, flashy and bold.

I'm a big fan of brindles in every breed.

I especially love the more vibrant brindles in bostons. I still love the typical "tuxedo" boston, but brindles really catch my eye.

I absolutely love tricolor and parti markings when there's white but then really dark colors to contrast... I'm not a super big fan of solid colors.

You know, I thought long and hard on this, and I really don't have an answer. I have ooh'd and aww'd over black dogs, white dogs, speckled dogs, striped dogs, and everything in between. I have never said to myself "I want a dog that looks like xyz." I have favorite fur types, favorite size, favorite temperament--but color is just an after thought to me.

Apparently I need a pasta option.

Haha, me too! The individual dog, the eyes, attract me more than color.

I will oooo and awww over lots of different colors - I couldn't pick just one.

It really depends. Long haired Border Collies I prefer to be black and white. Smooths I LOVE a deep red colour.
