Hmm.. thats interesting.. i have never seen a thing like that for dogs before. i have seen one for horses though.

I still think that if the dogs just dont feel "attracted" to the other the breeding shouldn't take place.. lol

very odd.

What ever happened to artificial insemination? ...Ya, these stands are definitely a bit odd.

Wow, that looks pretty rough. I know some breeds have a harder time breeding than others and some females are just never receptive but I agree, what's wrong with AI. Weird contraption.

Ok(sarcastic)
What ever happend to AI? Or maybe just a little bit of the females natural selection?
If she isnt standing chances are she isnt ready!!!! That is RAPE! Making a female stand when she isnt ready is the same as Rape!
Id like to strap that guy to his torture device...I have a few objects to keep him busy! LOL (im kidding...or am I LOL)

From what I understand of breeding (wich is very little) is that if the female doesnt want to breed then it's not time, but if it is time she will let it happen.

It's common in puppy mills... and seems to be popular in some pit bull fighting-breeding rings where you run the risk of your dog aggressive female attacking your male dog... so you strap her down so she can't attack the male when he's either starting or finishing the mating. *rolls eyes* Thats probably what this kennel has an issue with...

Jenn's right... if they're ready, they're willing. Yes, during the breeding you hold the b!tch so she won't twist and hurt the sire, but not restrained .
