What is the next best thing to Innova Evo Red Meat Formula?

I'm trying to convince my friend to switch from Pedigree to higher quality dog food. She made it clear that she cannot afford Innova Evo, which I use. I wonder what I should recommend to her that is of high quality, but cheaper than the Innova. She has two 2-year-old golden retrievers.

Any ideas?

If she goes to a store that sells Innova she probably has lots of good choices.

Innova's reg adult food (green bag) was great for my dogs. It's cheaper than Evo, but she might still think it's too expensive. I have also used their Healthwise line (Innova/ Naturapet's cheap line) as a transitioning from crappy food in rescue food and my dogs did well on it -- it's very well priced.

I also like Eaglepack Holistic-- more comparable quality to Innova adult.

Lots of people like Canidae and it's a really good price for the quality. (at least in the US)

Ealges Pack and Canidae are both Great foods to feed compared to Pedigree

I am feeding Canidae ALS Chicken and Rice Formula. They are doing very well. Also she could get a lower quality food if it is too pricey for her, and give canned once a day with there Kibble. I give my dogs Innova EVO and Innova Senior once a day with the Canidae

I like Natural Balance ( as everyone here knows, ) but Canidae is a pretty good food at a lower price. They just sent me a free sample of their Lamb and Rice Kibble and Smokey gobbled it right up which surprised me.... I have seen Canidae on the internet for just a tad over $1 per pound, which isn't bad for a good food. I will probably keep my dog on NB because she does so well on it, but it is more expensive, around $ 1.85 if you buy it in the 5 pound bags . If I was really on a tight budget, I probably would switch to Canidae rather than giving a poor quality food to the dog.

If your friend is looking for quality at low cost then Canidae, Costco's Kirkland or Natura's Healthwise would probably be the best for the $.

Have her drop Canidae an email they will send her a few free samples of there different flavors to try them all.
