I guess I should finally get some educated guesses.

Junior's originally from Georgia. At 3.5 years old (approx) his healthy weight is 16-17 pounds. He is very nervous and jumpy around strangers, very loud and protective of the house, very aggressive towards strange dogs (Wow I'm making him sound SO friendly), but also VERY cuddly with people he knows. He makes a weird howling sound when he's excited. He has a really high ball drive and is actually kind of obsessive. He knows what I'm asking him to do very often, even if I haven't trained him to do it. But still, I think he may be pretty dumb. He has a really high prey drive, but he has a 99% flawless recall, and will come right back to me if I call him when he goes after a squirrell. He was able to co-exsist with my guinea pigs though, even when they were out of the cage.

So that's his personality, now pictures.

(^An awkward shot; the camera's angled weird, he's angled weird, and he's still working off his winter weight)

I'll hold back what I'm thinking right now, so I don't your thinking. :p

Maybe Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua. There could be some sort of Terrier in there but my knowledge of small terriers doesn't go far beyond JRTs.

Chi/jrt or something similar.

Check out cloudcandy's coco - similar build and look. Not sure what 16lbs is in reality though lol Is that small?

I know Bodhi is about 22kg.... although I also know my own weight in Stones and pounds... we Brits are messed up with units :p

An online converter told me 16 lbs is equal to about 7.3 kg. He's probably on the larger end as far as small dogs go, or maybe a very small medium-sized dog.

I can't get on to flickr right now to upload a picture of me and him, but I'm 5'4" and i think the top of his head comes up to about my knee when we're both standing.

ETA yeah I'm pretty much thinking he's some kind of BYB JRT/Chi...it would make the most sense I guess. Those are two pretty common and overbred breeds..

He looks like he could be JRT/Chi?But quite a tall one?
Maybe he could have some rat terrier in him?I don't know he looks like he could have something else in him?his nose is quite big and long?
I'm not sure and I'm no good at guessing!

Yeah I've noticed they don't have a very specific look..but one kennel I'm looking at now has dogs that would make me go "HEY. How'd you steal my dog?"

I see the similarity, but they look pretty varied too me, and like a lot of mixed breeds I've met....

They're also VERY popular in that area of the US for squirrel dogs ... so it's just combining the look of the dog and the area it's from. :)

Plus what I've been reading about their personalities. The websites seem to be describing Junior!

Dizzy the feist is a toned down working terrier developed in the USA. it's ancestry includes primarily british & irish terriers but may include a touch of whippet, beagle and continental terrier types. consequently it's looks vary and in fact purebred registered terriers that meet the performance requirement to tree may be registered as treeing feist.
the personality description is why i said feist instead of terrier mix.

Amber if you're interested there are competition squirrel hunts for feists that do not require any killing. the place to start getting going is squirrel dog central.

POPS BEAT ME TO IT!!!! lol

(that being said, my feist does not look so similar... but that's because she is technically half beagle, half feist.)
