LMao no 2 or three threads about it in here, a thread about it somewhat in GD and mentioned in multiple threads as side comments LOL
Well I'll take your word for it. Only thing I saw in the GD though was about the normal stuff.

There was one but the title wasnt glaring so i geuss he gets a reprieve LOL
Was it discussed in the thread itself or just alluded to? Because I try to read the majority of the threads here and I'm a pretty good reader.

But I suck as a psychic.

SFD, your hormones right now are going to be a little out of whak...
it averages 6-8 months but can take longer for everyhting to level back out again and Sweet cravings, least I WAS TOLD are extreemly common during this time.

for me it was chocolate, for 8 months after my partial i would get these irresistable urges for chocolate, to the point of if i didnt get it i felt icky...didnt need alot, just a taste to satisfy but still...
ive loved chocolate ever since, least after that period though now i just get that pang of "oh chocolate would be nice"

weight gain can be a big issue after a hysterectomy because of this, sweet cravings plus hormone changes...
feel free to indulge your sweet tooth, it wont do you any harm in moderation, but just be very aware of whats going in your body and keep an eye on the weight if thats a concern for you.

glad the healing process s goign well!

Ah, so it's normal? Whew. I thought I was turning into a freak. :p

God forbid my cravings be healthy. I guess no one would complain about craving veggies though, huh?

It's just so wierd because I actually hate sweets normally. Now I'm sitting here debating on going out in the pouring rain to get a bag of hershey's kisses.

waddaya mean turning into one?

Glad to hear you are beginning to feel better. :D

:p

I really am feeling better. I've heard so many stories about how long the recovery period is, but really, I feel great. I do have one spot that still nags me, but other than that, I feel good.

I was out bending over planting bulbs the other day, which was huge for me because bending was so ouchie. I just have to keep reminding myself to not sit upright really fast because of that one ouchie spot...that's when it bothers me the most. But it's not horrible. Just feels like a pulled muscle.

But energy and stamina wise, I'm back to working some 8 hour shifts now with no problems. Of course, I'm still playing the "housework is hard" card for as long as I can. It's nice to see Jeff run the vacume and do laundry once in a while. :nono:

I'm glad you're feeling better Shadow!

And I'm sorry you're doomed to wanting sweets now. Welcome to the dark side.

Yeah, that's true. Shipping them may not be inexpensive :lol-sign:

I guess I know much about them because I've been a GS dad for 9 years. I actually registered as a GS for the first time 5 years ago so I could go on the trips with them. I get my 5 year membership pin at the end of this year. I've done camping and training with them (teaching knots, fire safety, knife safety, general survival skills) and Try-it's with the Brownies as well. I really enjoy it. If I had sons, I would be in Boy Scouts, I suppose (although I was never a BS myself).

What's really cool about the GS Cookie program is that for the last couple of years they've done a "cookies from home" program. A person can simply buy a box of cookies, but not take delivery of them and mark it as a CFH purchase. At the end of the sale, all of the CFH purchases are tallied up and the GS organization sends that many boxes of assorted cookies to the US Troops overseas.

If you're gonna do it, go for some GOOD chocolate ;)

You should discover Godiva ice cream.
