What happened to Texas?!

It's so NOT supposed to get cold here! And yet... It's somewhere in the thirties today. I live in Texas for a reason. Cold = Death. Bah! Fortunately, this is supposed to be the only cold day. It's going to be in the seventies Christmas day (which is still kind of cold IMO but whatever) and should be warm the rest of the week, as well. Temporary got to sleep in bed with me and Raja the past two nights. She curled up against my neck and stayed there the whole night. lol

Raja was running out by the pond today and almost jumped in. When one of her paws touched the water, she decided against it. They're currently curled up together on a bed that I would have said was way too small for both of them. All in all, my dogs and I hate the cold. Loathe the cold. Abhor the cold. Brrrrrrrr! I can't wait until tomorrow when Texas gets back to normal.

Awww.
Its in the high 30s right now.
I am loving it. I want to move somewhere were the summers are warm (and not deadly hott) and winters that have snow and coldness (unlike GA that just has freezing weather). :D

It's 32 degrees here! And not Celsius like it should be!

Baw! Freakin' cold air factories. I blame Canada.

Awww, come on.... We had 50+ days of 100+ degree weather this summer, wasnt' that warm enough??? LOL. Personally I LOVE the cold, mostly because it's something DIFFERENT. I get so much more energy when it's cold like this, in the summer I just don't want to do anything but sit in front of an air conditioner.

I decided that whenever I move again it wil be someplace COLDER than TX!

I love the 100+ degree weather. :D It's when it gets cold that I don't have the energy to get anything done. I just huddle up under a pile of blankets and shiver. lol

Ah, you spoiled coastal Texans! :D It always gets cold in the rest of the state. And 32 degrees is not that cold---later in the season, we sometimes drop to the 20s and below during the daytime.

But I don't mind. I'd take 20 degrees over 107 anytime!

MHMR, I didn't realize you lived in Waller. :) That's where my dad's mom grew up. :)

I agree though, it's WAY too cold. I've had to cancel the last three weeks of classes.

where's this come from that Texas isn't cold in winter? It's plenty cold here every winter! We get at LEAST one day of snowfall...sometimes two, and in the panhandle they get a heck of a lot more than that LOL.

You all must be in a different Texas LOL.

I think MHR is in the Galveston area. Like I said, spoiled coastal Texans. :lol-sign:

Hush up! And yes, Gem, I am from the coast-ish area. Kind of in between Houston and College Station. And it's true I'm a bit spoiled. But that's why I live here. lol

smkie, the name is stuck, though everyone else has called her "Permie" from day one. They know me so well.

ETA: It's nice and warm again. Back to short sleeves and swimming! Yay!

Well my home town was a bit SE of Houston soooo...full blast humidity was the norm with hot days and winter was a puff of cold air once a day for a week or so.

College Station is normally like, zero humidity (which is kind of nice), windy all the **** time, and the cold stays for at least a month.
It's kept the wind part but the cold has gotten here unseasonably (and unwelcomedly) early. Plus it can't make up its **** mind (at least THAT part is consistent) because it was 80 degrees last week. Now it's 20 or something. PLUS we had SNOW not too long ago! SNOW! Blasphemy!

Dallas must be sub-zero conditions by now. And Amarillo? We'll see them at the spring thaw.
